I am an emotionally intelligent and faith-based professional that has experience in working with individuals (children, adolescents, and adults), families and groups. I am a highly skilled counselor who has had the opportunity to work with those struggling with substance abuse, behavioral disorders, grief, trauma, eating disorders, culture, and minority issues, anxiety, relational issues and depression. It is an honor to walk alongside those who are in a place where they need help to move forward, find well-being and achieve their goals. I am optimistic, that there is resolution towards concerns and issues affecting positive functioning.

I enjoy working with teenagers, adult individuals, and couples. Human beings are capable of truly incredible things, and I love walking alongside my clients as they make lasting, meaningful changes in their lives. Some of my specialties include trauma, anxiety, marital/premarital therapy, eating disorders, and LGBTQ population.

I am a fully licensed, bilingual clinician working with a diverse population. Since 2010, I have worked with Adolescents and Children as well as with families, and groups. The populations were diverse anywhere from depression, multiple personalities, trauma victims, alcohol abuse, physical/emotional and sexual abuse, anxiety, anger management, self-mutilators, bipolar, bullying victims, OCD, conduct/Oppositional, some eating disorders, grief self-esteem to name a few.

I enjoy assisting adolescent and adult women who are struggling with issues related to self-esteem, anxiety, OCD, eating disorders, body image, trauma, sexual assault survivors, grief, and relationship issues. I provide client-centered therapy and believe that successful treatment begins with building a strong client-therapist relationship. From this secure base, I can support you in working through pain towards growth and change. I view psychotherapy as a collaborative process defined by trust, safety, warmth, empathy, and unconditional acceptance.

I am an integrative psychotherapist, combining traditional psychotherapy with science based mind-body approaches to restore and enhance emotional, mental, and physiological balance, health, and well-being. My specialities include eating disorders, anxiety, depression, trauma, stress reduction, self acceptance and overall personal growth. I believe in identifying qualities of health and strength in each person I meet and I enjoy working with individuals who are willing to explore the root causes of symptoms and are motivated to improve their quality of life.

Amy views a person as a unique individual, with strengths and talents that shine when their best self is discovered. As human beings, we are designed to connect with one another, therefore Amy believes that the therapeutic relationship is the foundation to begin the healing process. Healing is found through the healing of the mind, body, and spirit and Amy is here to help you discover and grow your authentic self in each of these areas. She combines a person-centered therapeutic approach with DBT (Dialectical Behavioral Therapy) to work with eating disorders, anxiety and depression, life transitions, trauma, and more.

I work with clients who want to feel better about their bodies or improve their relationship with food. I specialize in emotional eating, binge eating, yo-yo dieting, eating disorders, and weight concerns. I also work with many clients with anxiety, depression, insomnia, and relationship struggles.

I am an LCSW specializing in individual, couple's and family therapy. My approach is eclectic, incorporating a variety of techniques to meet the needs of each client. Therapy is a collaborative effort and I enjoy guiding clients to identify their own strengths and inner resources. I believe in giving clients the tools and support they need to move ahead on their own, knowing support is available when they need it from me. I have new patient appointment availability to see older adolescents and adults of all ages. I welcome all individuals regardless of sex, religion, sexual preference, or race.

I have been treating clients who struggle with eating disorders, mood disorders, anxiety and related disorders, life transition issues, grief/loss, and marital and family issues for about 30 years. I also work as a therapist who treats other therapists for their own mental wellness needs and I work as a consultant for therapists starting and/or growing their practices. Clients and families typically come to me for help with diagnosis, treatment planning, and treatment implementation, often through referral from another professional or a past client. Often, these clients have tried other treatments and haven’t found optimal results.

I work with eating disorders like bulimia, anorexia, binge-eating disorder and offer a warm and supportive way of understanding recovery. Therapy is a process and I am here to help in identifying triggers, managing the symptoms and overcoming difficulties. Together, we can think about you and help you understand your feelings, navigate through and overcome your symptoms, guiding you to living a more satisfying life.

The therapeutic process can be challenging therefore I strive to offer my clients a nonjudgemental safe space to be comfortable in the uncomfortable feelings of change. It is important that we build an authentic therapeutic relationship to be effective. We all move at our own pace and struggle with our own individualized battles.

Through the therapeutic process Shannon assists clients ages 18 years and up with converting negative, destructive, or counterproductive thoughts and behaviors into more positive and beneficial ones. She approaches each client with empathy, respect, and congruency through services offered in office or through telemental health options.
