Caring for the hearts and heads of individuals, couples and teens, I work with clients struggling with a wide variety of issues from addictions and brokenness to feeling weary and zapped. Life experience provides me with empathy and understanding of your situation. Whether an adult stuck in life, a couple drifting further away or an adolescent/teenager struggling with peer pressure and grown-up decisions, I can help you find the healing, clarity, strength and resiliency to move forward and thrive.

Just a few years ago I was caught up in a cycle of self-doubt, shame, and failure. I was early on in adulthood and already I felt completely worn out; convinced my life would end in ruins. Eventually I was able to seek counseling, and this became a major factor in helping me find a new sense of hope and freedom. I became a counselor out of a desire to share this gift with others. I seek to create a safe space where my clients can find new hope in their journey. When you walk into my office, I want you to know that you are welcome here; you belong, and you matter.

My ideal client would be one who has a desire to change their life by committing to doing the hard work to get themselves out of their life ruts and onto a better path. I am committed to working with the client and their support of family and friends. My goal is to inspire people to discover their true identity and to take that to become the man or woman they were created to be.

Certain events often precede the beginning of our therapy journey. Grief, relationship crossroads, breakups, divorce, job and career changes, moving, starting or completing school, some sort of “bottom” related to a painful behavior — I’m familiar with these challenges. Therapy can inspire a deeper exploration and a new way of being.

I am a man of faith, a motorcycle rider, a runner, a reader, and one or two other things outside of counseling, just in case we still haven't connected. In counseling and support groups, I’ve spent most of my time helping people face addictions, trauma, and all the relationships in between. I often rely on the AASAT addiction training and EMDR to help people move towards their change.

In the first session we'll discuss your goals and create a strategy. I have options; individual work, group work and for long term support I have developed the Solid Brotherhood, an online community of like-minded men.
