My passion is to help men understand what they want from life and to address what is getting in the way. Issues that get in the way include addictions of all kinds, depression, anxiety, and anger. Perhaps a partner is unhappy and suggests change needs to happen and soon, or else. Asking for help is often the most difficult decision for men to make. The pain and fear we feel tells us something is wrong. But if we ask for help what does it say about us? Shouldn't we be able to handle this on our own? No one started gambling or using mind-altering substances with the idea of becoming addicted. At first it was fun and provided a way to escape the pains and drudgeries of life. I know counseling works because I have been through it. Take it from someone who has served 9 years in the army, as a medic, deployed twice, divorced, and was abusing substances because all of these events hindered my spirit. Is life easy? No but you can make it way easier. That's the trick and that's what I am here for. I may not know all the answers but I am willing to discover it with you. I may have solutions that are different due to my upbringing (being half Korean and white had many learning lessons growing up and life). To find the answers to instill proper actions for a better quality of life is the goal. That's my mission.

In over ten years of practice, I've noticed many people seek therapy for a few main reasons: A breakdown of trust and communication in intimate relationships; One's past experiences are negatively affecting present reality; Loneliness and disconnection; and a need for a sense of purpose. Of course, there are others, but the reasons I mention show up often. I attribute much of the distress I see in others to self-worth issues. Generally, worthiness is neither modeled nor nurtured in our culture.
