Aljoscha Dreisoerner, Ph.D., received his doctoral degree in psychology at Goethe University Frankfurt in 2022, where he studied self-compassion. Using lab and online experiments, he looks at the effects of self-compassion, meditation, and other positive psychology interventions (PPIs) on pain, stress, and well-being. Before coming to Goethe University, he studied management at Mannheim University and economics at the Kiel Institute for the World Economy (IfW).

Dreisoerner teaches seminars that feature a wide range of topics and techniques from health and work psychology, including contemplative methods such as meditation or gratitude training. He has been practicing Zazen since 2016. On his blog, he writes about day-to-day philosophy, emotions, and mindfulness.
