I have a great deal of life experience and cultural awareness from growing up in a risky area of Los Angeles, serving in the U.S. Army (9 yrs), experiencing combat and loss, living through natural disasters, working with and supporting military veterans, working as a therapist with juveniles for the State of Utah, and overcoming many of life's personal obstacles. I have a passion for working with people. I believe connecting with you is essential to treatment success. As your therapist, I promise to be there for you every step of the way.

Life happens to all of us and sometimes we need additional support. I want to be that support! Trauma isn't always from a big event, it can be a car accident, an incident at work, an unexpected loss or change. What is seen as trauma for one person might not be traumatic for another. Most of us have experienced trauma and since it isn't the same for everyone, I like to take a personalized approach. You are the expert in your life, so I want to work with you to create the best treatment plan for you to heal and move forward. There is strength in healing, but even more when you are not alone. It can be life changing and so worth it!

Counseling has always been that one unique ability of mine that I felt was a higher calling. The encouragement I get from watching clients meet major milestones continues to increase my passion as a therapist. I am a firm believer that there is no shame in asking for help. Regardless of how major or minor your struggle may be, having someone to talk to makes a massive difference. I have been working as a Marriage & Family Therapist for over a decade now, and it has truly been the privilege of a lifetime! I have worked with college students and adults for 20 years, offering optimism, understanding, and strategies for change. With a thorough background in evidence-based practices, current CBT-training, and focused training in OCD treatment, I have skills which can help clients move ahead.

I was born and raised in Las Vegas but relocated to Utah with my wife in 2014. I have spent most of my career as a business consultant and enjoy helping others simplify complex issues. After my own struggles, I realized that these skills could easily be transferred to individuals who had challenges in their personal lives. I am drawn to working with others who are overwhelmed by all the demands life places on them.

We all have a story to tell. I'm interested in yours. I won't judge or criticize. Therapy is supposed to reduce your distress and eliminate feelings of stigma, brokenness and inadequacy.
