Experiencing deep hurt, frustration, or loneliness in your marriage can feel like your whole world is collapsing. As a therapist, I am here to meet you and your partner where you are without judgment. I empower you to bravely explore uncomfortable emotions within your relationship, understand your own internal worlds, and show up in authentic and connecting ways. This can be hard–as it requires vulnerability, honesty, and practice–but I believe in you! Some of the greatest hope and healing I have witnessed transpire between partners in the therapy room.

There is power in sharing your story. It's one thing to sit and think about your struggles alone, but when you begin to share them out loud your story begins to shift outside of you. You can begin to find healing within your internal world. I am passionate about creating a safe space where you feel supported to share your story and find peace and hope. I believe in a strengths-based and collaborative approach to therapy. You truly are the expert in your own life and together we can help you find the confidence to embrace your next steps to change.

I have a passion for supporting parents and families. I know first-hand how hard it can be to feel helplessly caught in a power struggle with your child when all you want to do is just love them. Being a parent can be beyond overwhelming and make you feel like a speck of dust but it can also bring intense fulfillment. There is no manual on how to parent since every child is unique. I hope to help parents and children to identify their own value, change how their view their relationships, and build safe attachments to those around them.

Something has to change. Things aren’t quite right. You never thought you’d act the way you do when you’re pushed the wrong way by things you can’t control, or by people who should understand you. I get it. Really. I do. You are probably thinking that if you just try a little harder, stick to the plan, or just keep on pushing, things will eventually get easier. And they will... Someday. Wanna know something? The struggle isn’t quite as painful, nor does it take as long when you bring a therapist along.

Anxiety is a common issue that can affect anyone at any time. Life transitions, such as the birth of a child, starting college, the loss of a loved one, or starting a new job, can be difficult to navigate. Stress is a natural response to the demands of life, but it can become overwhelming if left unmanaged. Grief is a natural response to loss and can be a difficult emotion to process. I want you to know that I see you and I am here to help you gain the skills necessary to help you on your healing journey.

When we feel trapped in unhealthy patterns, painful relationships, or overwhelming circumstances, we lose hope that things can change. In this hopelessness we may struggle in asking for help. Everyone encounters pain, feelings of failure, and hardships, but that doesn't mean we need to suffer. Our work will aim at building awareness of emotions and thoughts, reprocessing past traumas, exploring how we connect and/or disconnect from them, and change the patterns that entrench us. My hope is to help you access healing and the development of your inner self.

Search for nearby therapists or counselors by inputting your city, town, or suburb; or zip code; or a provider’s name into the search bar. To navigate between locations within the same country, enter a new city or zip code into the search bar.

Is online therapy a good option?
Therapy conducted online can be just as effective as in-person therapy, as long as there is a strong alliance between the client and the therapist. To find a therapist who provides telehealth services to clients in your area, click “Online Therapy” on the directory homepage and search by your city or town or your zip code.
What’s the difference between a psychologist, a therapist, and a counselor?
Therapists, psychologists, and counselors are all licensed mental health professionals. In the US, psychologists have earned a doctoral degree. The terms “therapist” and “counselor” are used somewhat interchangeably, but generally therapists offer longer-term, mental health care, while counselors offer shorter-term care that may focus on one domain, such as marriage, career, or academic challenges.
What type of therapist is right for me?
Clients should consider factors such as insurance coverage and their primary reason(s) for seeking therapy to determine the type of professional best suited to their needs. Someone struggling with mental health challenges such as depression or anxiety, for example, may wish to seek out a clinical psychologist or therapist, while someone navigating career obstacles or marital upheaval may benefit from seeing a counselor who can offer short-term, targeted support.
Is everyone in the Psychology Today Therapy Directory a licensed therapist?
The Psychology Today directory lists providers who offer legitimate mental health services to the public, including psychologists, psychiatrists, social workers, and counselors. Many have been licensed by the country or state where they practice; providers whose license or primary credential has been verified by Psychology Today are signified by a “Verified” symbol. Some clinicians or organizations provide services for which their state or country does not offer licenses, such as pastoral counseling. They may be selectively included without the “Verified” seal.
What type of therapy is right for me?
The type of therapy best suited to a particular individual depends on several factors, including their primary reason for seeking therapy, their preferred timeline (some therapy types last for a set number of sessions, while others are open-ended), and their personality and preferences—some may prefer a more structured approach. For many individuals, multiple types of therapy could provide a good fit.
Is online therapy cheaper than in-person therapy?
Many therapists charge the same amount for online therapy as they do for in-person therapy—though clients may still find this cost-effective if it cuts down on their transportation costs. Health insurance plans often offer equivalent coverage for online and in-person therapy; indeed, in many places, they are legally required to do so. Text-based or on-demand therapy apps may be cheaper than traditional one-on-one psychotherapy; however, the practice may be less effective and is not likely to be covered by insurance.
