Many of my clients seek therapy for support as they navigate important relationships in their lives that are difficult. Or they want to feel more confident living authentically. Or they want better self-understanding so that they can get to the root of things bothering them. I specialize in helping older teens and adults heal from past relational wounds so that they can trust themselves more fully in the present & move forward with more freedom and joy! I also offer play therapy for children & work w/couples.

Our practice is home to a variety of counselors and social workers from different backgrounds all working together to help each other learn and grow. Our clinicians cover a wide range of specialties like LGBTQ+, couples, children/adolescents, aging issues, educators, trauma, anger management, life adjustments, and more. As a relationship therapist, LMFT, and doctoral MFT student, helping relationships thrive is my ultimate goal. In addition to Family Systems work, I utilize Solution-Focused Therapy to stabilize day-to-day life and design a preferred future. Once a safe environment is established we will explore the root of the traumas. We will re-evaluate boundaries and increase self-confidence and self-validation with the development of strong coping skills and self-soothing techniques. I guide my clients out of survival mode to living in the present. I include psychotherapeutic yoga, CBT, DBT, attachment, and neuropsychology. I am EMDR trained.

I work with children, teens and young adults who struggle with anxiety, OCD, life transitions, identity, and LGBTQ+ issues. Clients often begin therapy with me in search of relief from OCD/anxiety, support managing the transition into college or adulthood, self-acceptance, a space to explore their identity, ways to create more meaningful relationships with others, or parenting support. I also work with parents to provide insight and teach skills that allow them to confidently support and respond to their child/teen struggling with OCD/anxiety. I am certified in and offer PCIT for children 7 and younger with behavioral challenges.

I am an LGBTQIA+ affirming provider and am happy to serve gender, sexual, and relationship minorities. I enjoy working with people of all ages, providing individual counseling, sibling therapy, and family therapy. I have work and volunteer experience providing counseling to survivors of abuse, those experiencing grief and loss, and youth in residential psychiatric treatment experiencing complex trauma. I work with clients who are struggling to adjust to changes in their life or who are needing more support to face challenges with compassion.

I am a Licensed Professional Counselor, Registered Play Therapist, Ketamine Assisted Psychotherapy trained, Reiki certified, and Animal Assisted Play Therapist, Level l, who has been working with children and families for 20+ years. As a Registered Play Therapist, I help children express themselves through play. Children (13 and under) typically do not have the cognitive skills to verbally express themselves. Play therapy gives them the tools to understand and process their world. I have experience with LGBTQ+ clients and working with members of this community is another passion of mine.

Children often do not have the words to express what they are thinking or feeling. Traditional talk therapy alone is rarely successful in helping children process difficult life situations. I help children overcome anxiety, depression, and other challenges. I also assist parents in building strong, open relationships with their children. If your child is going through anxiety, sadness, behavior problems, social issues, or life changes (divorce, loss of a loved one, etc.) I am happy to walk along side them in their journey. Dallas Therapeutic Services is a group practice uniquely managed to fit the needs of most clients! When the group formed, care was taken to choose clinicians with a variety of backgrounds and specialities. We want to provide an environment, where we can match clients with their best fit therapist. As a marriage and family therapist, I view therapy from a systemic perspective. This means that my focus is not on individuals, but on relationships. The focus of treatment from this perspective is on interactions within systems, such as family and society, even when working with an individual. I believe effective therapy is based on faith that every individual or family has the ability to affect change within their own relationships. My name is Angela Kaiser and I landed in Marriage and Family Therapy because I see the world through a systemic lens. Basically, the people we are surrounded by influence us and we have an influence on the people around us. I am a firm believer that you are never stuck, that you don’t have to live life feeling exhausted, that you are capable of overcoming the thing that’s keeping you down. You are not broken. After years of working with individuals from all walks of life, my goal with each my clients is to assist them in fostering their own sense of self.
