I am a Licensed Graduate Professional Counselor (LGPC) with years of experience working with teens, couples, and adults who are struggling with anxiety, anger issues, parenting difficulties, depression, chronic stress, relationship issues, and pregnancy-related concerns. My ideal client is motivated to learn more about themselves, open to self-reflection, willing to engage in the therapeutic process, and committed to making positive changes in their lives. Additionally, they are motivated to work on their issues, have good communication skills, and are willing to be honest and vulnerable in the therapeutic relationship.

PARTNER/SPOUSE support group starting in January 2023! Two sections offered: Tues at 12pm and Fri at 9:30am. My belief for therapy is that everyone has a life in mind, a way they want to be, a way they want to live. Sometimes there are barriers or difficulties along the journey to becoming our ideal self. I want to work with you as you navigate these struggles. My goal is to create a safe place for you to be open, explore yourself, learn, grow and, most importantly, heal. I use a variety of techniques that will help guide our work together.

I am a new solo mother , private practice owner, and licensed clinical social worker – certified (LCSW-C), with 19 years experience in the Mental Health Field working with a variety of mental and emotional issues such as depression, anxiety, PTSD, anger and stress management, childhood/adolescent developmental stressors, and life transitional stages.

Signs of narcissism often go unseen. I help otherwise successful adults who unwittingly find themselves in a relationship with a narcissist. Most people exhaust all resources trying to "fix" the relationship before they realize they are dealing with a situation quite distinct from the typical challenges relationships face. Understanding this distinction is critical to navigating forward safely and effectively. If it feels like your partner is rarely satisfied, shifts blame to you and others, refuses to change, and takes no accountability, you may be in a relationship with a narcissist.

I provide psychotherapy to individuals and couples dealing with a wide range of challenges, including anxiety, depression, trauma and relationship issues. I use an integrative approach to therapy, drawing from treatments that are backed by science, such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavior Therapy and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy. It happened again. You were sitting in traffic, thinking about your day, when panic suddenly hit. Your chest tightened, and you couldn’t catch your breath. Your palms began to sweat, and your face became flushed. You wondered to yourself, "Is everything about to unravel?!" You never know when these overwhelming emotions will hit, and it’s terrifying. You don’t need this added burden right now – between family dinners, work assignments, doctor’s appointments, paying bills, organizing your house, and everything else, things are already so hectic. You hate to let people down, but you can’t keep going like this.

I'm currently accepting new Couples Counseling/Coaching clients. My practice is virtual and is open to residents of Maryland, Washington D.C., Minnesota, Massachusetts, Georgia, Colorado, Texas, and Virginia. However, as a couples coach I work with clients in all 50 states. Working virtually gives you the opportunity to be comfortable in your own space while we talk about what’s on your heart and mind. I believe that therapy can be life changing. While it’s not a cure all, or a quick fix, it’s a way to deal with and process the stresses of daily life. I don’t have an agenda and I will meet you where you are.

I get it! Your resources are stretched thin. You're in need of a break but it's seemingly not an option! Just when you are finally about to tackle one task, something else pulls for your attention. You're feeling worn out, unseen and resentful. For some, considering therapy brings up worries about inadequacy, fear of judgement, or worse...that it means you're crazy! Because I'm professional, I'll say, "That's non-sense!" Once we know each other a bit better, I'll use a more casual and colorful phrase. But regardless of how I word it, my overall philosophy is that you're human, you're NOT crazy, and above all, you're resilient!

Thank you for your interest. My practice is NO longer taking new clients. My ideal client is one who shows up ready to do their work. They may not have clarity or insight about what should happen next, but they know that they want to feel better &/or have their lives function in a better way. That’s a client who makes my work easier. I know that they will match my efforts. My second ideal client is one who has had a not-so-good or effective therapeutic experience in their past, but they’re willing to try again.
