I received my Masters of Social Work from the Graduate School of Social Work at the University of Denver with a clinical specialization in families, high-risk youth, and trauma. I have over 15 years of experience as a social worker, with experience in the areas of research, child welfare, juvenile justice, domestic and international school systems, and private practice therapy and assessment. I am passionate about mental health and aspire to create a climate of empathy, creativity, and understanding with families. I am a skilled clinician who strives to build resilience and adaptability.

Many young people who come to meet with me are apprehensive about therapy. They might worry that I will be silent, expecting them to fill the space with what's difficult to express. Alternatively, they might have encountered therapists who speak more than listen, resulting in a session that feels like a class. Therapy is an investment of time and resources. I'm a licensed educational psychologist specializing in assessment and intervention of psychological disorders impacting learning and school performance (e.g. dyslexia, dysgraphia, dyscalculia, attention issues like ADD/ADHD, neurodevelopment disorders such as autism, and social-emotional disorders). I specialize in psycho-educational assessment focusing on discovering why educational difficulties are occurring and providing intervention recommendations. I am also available for guardianship assistance with special needs students and am able to sign guardianship applications.

I am a clinical psychologist in Concord, MA and also teach and supervise through Harvard Medical School, where I've been an instructor for over 20 years. I specialize in college students and adults who have been struggling with depression, anxiety, and other emotional symptoms that have interfered with work/school and relationships. I also work with adolescents who seem angry, unhappy or who are struggling in school. A comprehensive evaluation is often the first step in helping to understand an individual's difficulties, cognitive profile and learning differences. Working for years in ADHD clinics and neurodevelopmental centers has fostered my expertise in the evaluation, diagnosis and treatment recommendations for various cognitive, behavioral and emotional disorders in children and adults. I'm the president of Pioneer Valley Psychological Assessment Inc., a group practice dedicated to psychological, educational, and neuropsychological evaluation of adults and children. Dr. Flannery Geier, Dr. Emily Love and I are three psychologists who specialize in identifying the psychological, cognitive, and/or academic profile of individuals and making recommendations to help support them in work, school, and their personal lives. We write user-friendly reports and work collaboratively with clients, families, and referral sources to deliver evaluations that assist in meaningful change and greater self-understanding.

I provide psychoeducational assessments for students who are having difficulty in school. Currently I am only providing assessments through an online platform. Striving to help these students understand their strengths and weaknesses, as well as gaining skills to help school become easier is my number one goal. Often my clients have teachers or parents who believe that the student might have a psychological, attention, or learning difference, which is preventing them from learning to the best of their abilities.
