I provide comprehensive neuropsychological assessments and evidenced-based psychotherapy for children, families, and young adults. My approach is collaborative and active, with emphasis on building a strong alliance, then working towards achieving desired goals. I operate within a systemic and multidisciplinary framework that includes parents and collaboration with educators/other providers when needed. This makes me an effective therapist & neuropsychologist at evaluating/working with youth that struggle with disruptive behaviors, emotional regulation difficulties, trauma, anxiety, mood difficulties, and academic challenges.
I also conduct neuropsychological evaluations to assess for neurodevelopmental disorders and co-morbid medical disorders as well as for Autism Spectrum Disorders and bilingual neuropsychological testing (Spanish). I've consulted on cases with complex profiles that have not responded to existing interventions and/or come from diverse/bilingual backgrounds.
I received my PhD in Clinical Psychology from The University of South Dakota, and completed an internship and a peds neuropsychology fellowship at Columbia University Medical Center. I've previously worked as an Attending Psychologist, training interns and post docs, at Child Outpatient Psychiatry Departments at Montefiore and Columbia Medical Centers.
