I specialize in couples/relationship therapy, families, adolescents and individual adults. I am an AASECT Certified Sex Therapist, specializing in out of control sexual behavior (commonly referred to as sex addiction). I am Gottman and EMDR trained as well trauma informed. I help all clients develop a plan to maximize all aspects of their health.

I work with early adults (late teens into 40s) on navigating individual, relational, and life challenges, from difficult seasons of life to anxiety, depression, and sexuality. Clients often start working with me during significant life changes, losses, or overwhelm, and to seek momentum towards self-discovery and future goals. LGBTQIA+, kinky, and poly folx find a supportive space here. My style relies more on exploration of experiences and paths and collaboration rather than on answer giving, being highly structured or directive, or imposing my own solutions. It’s important to me that clients are empowered on their own paths.

I compassionately and skillfully provide evidence based treatment to couples, adults, and adolescents struggling with sexual issues such as difficulties in marital sexuality, affair recovery, sexual addiction and sexual abuse. I also provide couples counseling, premarital counseling, and individual counseling with presenting issues such as depression, anxiety, bipolar disorder, grief, family issues, and spiritual issues. I also integrate Christian spirituality and spiritual formation into counseling sessions for clients who request this specialty. Ultimately, my desire is to journey with those who are hurting and broken to help them find true healing and hope.

I love working with ADHD clients to foster more opportunites and manage challenges. I also enjoy the LGBTQ+ community and gender affirming care. I have decades of experience and bring curiosity and kindness to your session.

I have been involved in therapy for almost twenty years working in areas of criminal justice, social services, mental health, welfare and addiction treatment. I have enjoyed working with all age clients-each having different challenges. Although I enjoy working with all clients, areas of specialization: Adolescent behavioral issues, gambling and addictive behaviors, family and marriage counseling. I encourge clients to work on two main objectives: Self Empowerment and Acceptance of who they choose to be. I do not judge a person because of their concerns, I try to help them learn the tools to avoid future problems.

Depression, anxiety, and other mental health symptoms can manifest as we attempt to cope with these relational injuries: trauma, loss, rejection, abandonment, and exile from the ones we love, maybe even our very selves. Painful patterns built with loved ones can be difficult to change, yet within these conflicts our longings emerge to guide new patterns of growth.

I believe that one of the most healing aspects of therapy is the relationship between therapist and client which is one intended to be that of a traveling companion rather than an "expert"-"advice receiver". This is why I tend to pay special attention to the formation and maintenance of that relationship in order to help others explore what matters to them and engage with that in the face of mental health barriers. I have been able to work with individuals that find themselves struggling with lasting impacts of trauma, depression, anxiety, interpersonal concerns, and life transitions.

I have a passion to journey with couples who seek to restore love and trust in their life and in their relationship(s). When we experience violations to our sense of identity and safety we experience real pain and confusion. It is possible for all of us to find peace and be grounded in the truth of who we are, and discover new ways to act within our daily life and decision making. I especially have an interest in journeying with couples struggling with communication (i.e. decision making), passion and attachment, intimacy, life transitions, and conflict (i.e. anger, shame, control, infidelity, addiction, trauma).
