I compassionately and skillfully provide evidence based treatment to couples, adults, and adolescents struggling with sexual issues such as difficulties in marital sexuality, affair recovery, sexual addiction and sexual abuse. I also provide couples counseling, premarital counseling, and individual counseling with presenting issues such as depression, anxiety, bipolar disorder, grief, family issues, and spiritual issues. I also integrate Christian spirituality and spiritual formation into counseling sessions for clients who request this specialty. Ultimately, my desire is to journey with those who are hurting and broken to help them find true healing and hope.
I have extensive training and experience working in the field of sexuality to treat couples and individuals struggling with sexual issues. Treatment of sexual issues follows ethical guidelines and may include re-education, medical referrals, improving communication, proven cognitive and behavioral exercises, strategic reading, and enhancing relational areas.
I provide quality, compassionate, and evidence based care at Sojourners Rest Counseling, LLC. I also offer distance counseling services using video conferencing and phone calls. Group counseling services are also offered to help both individuals and their spouses/partners who are in recovery for sexually addictive behaviors.
