I'm a Licensed Clinical Pastoral Counselor and Board Certified as a Temperament Specialist and Clinical Supervisor by the National Christian Counselors Association. In addition, I'm Supreme Court Certified County, Family, and Circuit-Civil Mediator and Court appointed Child Custody Evaluator; Certified Thinking for a Change Facilitator. Also, I facilitate and provides counseling and coping mechanism, and adjustments techniques to the reentry individuals transitioning from jails and prisons as well as helping their family members with the life adjustments and understanding chronic disorders, pharmacological regimens and management.

The process of working together is like a puzzle; together we lay out all the pieces on the table, look at them together, first finding the corner pieces, and then complete the puzzle from the inside-out, until the last piece is in place. To the outside observer, I've looked similar to a vagabond as I've "wasted my potential" walking barefoot through Orlando serving the homeless, living in Brazil while working with at-risk children abandoned to the streets, and even more recently as I've dove into therapy with men and women struggling with sexual addiction and the fallout of effects upon their loved ones. I've wrestled with my own struggles and mental health diagnosis of OCD and now have the privilege of serving others.

I am uniquely qualified to assist anyone with PTSD symptoms or traumatic experiences. I provide counseling to military personnel, first responders and others that have suffered a trauma and offer a place of trust & mutual respect in which to talk. I also specialize in clients dealing with sexual addiction. I am a former police officer forced to retire after 21 years when an on-the-job injury made it impossible for me to continue working. Before retiring, I joined the Critical Incident Stress Management Team where I've continued to counsel first responders for nearly 20 years now. I am also a qualified supervisor in the State of FL.

My counseling has a strong expertise in addiction/behavioral issues, with other strengths in anxiety, depression, and thought disorders. My passion is helping people build healthy and meaningful lives. I am a Certified Sexual Addiction Therapist trained by Dr. Patrick Carnes, the pioneer in the field of sex addiction. I have extensive experience working with individuals struggling with all forms of addictions and compulsive behaviors including: sex, pornography, drugs, alcohol, food, work, spending, codependent relationships, etc. I use Internal Family Systems, and Lifespan Integration to help people become free from underlying relational/attachment wounds.

I have helped hundreds of people cope with a wide range of concerns. I have worked with individuals in a counseling and educational capacity for 20 years. In my practice, I provide counseling services helping people deal with depression, anxiety, stress, relationships, work/school concerns, compulsive behaviors (including sexual addiction), sexual identity issues, chronic illnesses, and HIV/AIDS concerns among others. I worked as a Staff Psychologist and completed a training internship at the prestigious University of California in San Diego. Further, I have degrees from the University of Central Florida, Florida State University, and the University of Nebraska.
