I have a passion for helping individuals, marriages, and families heal the painful parts of their lives that have held them back from thriving in every area of their life. Life is difficult and unfortunately the world we live in doesn't foster the belief in asking for help or sharing our feelings. Many people feel disconnected and alone and more importantly disconnected from one's own self. I approach to counseling as a collaboration between therapist and client with a goal of helping people re-discover their innate ability to heal and become whole again. My approach to therapy sessions utilizes a mix of Somatic Experiencing, mindfulness-based resource building and cognitive-based therapies in hopes of gaining insight into patterns and issues that derail us from living a value-centered existence.

My first priority is to offer a professional, safe, and comfortable environment to explore whatever concerns you may be having and to develop a strong, trusting therapeutic relationship from which to provide therapy. As a former military psychologist (2001-2006), I had very broad and diverse exposure to many mental health conditions. I quickly learned to implement a variety of approaches to address the unique needs of my clients. My aim is to provide treatment tailored specifically to each client. No two people are exactly alike and their therapy shouldn't be either. Above all, I want to help you create lasting change and improvement.
