Cristina is a Licensed Professional Counselor with more than a decade of experience in the mental health field. Cristina completed her Master in Counseling at Northern Arizona University. Prior to becoming a counselor, Cristina completed her graduate studies in Anthropology and worked as an anthropologist.

My therapy practice is dedicated to helping TEENS, COLLEGE AGE STUDENTS and YOUNG ADULTS through challenging times in their lives. This stage in life is such an important time in one’s development and it is easy to become overwhelmed, anxious, and depressed with all that life is throwing at you. I have worked with teens and young adults for over twenty years, and now as a trauma therapist I find there is a greater need than ever to give teens and young adults the coping skills needed to deal with the challenges and stressors they are facing on a daily basis. I am a National Certified Counselor and a Licensed Associate Counselor working towards my Professional Counselor license (LPC) under the clinical supervision of Patrica Dobratz. I earned my BA in Anthropology and Mathematics from Grinnell College and my Masters in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from South Dakota State University. I am EMDR trained, DC 0-5 trained, and have extensive training in play therapy, including neurobiology, brain development and trauma.
