Our collaborative work will focus on your hopes, goals, and the tools you already have to help you achieve them. We will identify unhelpful thoughts and patterns and work to restructure them to your benefit.

My approach is engaged, empathic, curious, and deeply human. I strive to create a space that is warm, collaborative, and open. In this space we can explore your challenges, strengths, goals, and lived experience. The therapeutic relationship can help us understand harmful patterns then use new found insights and skills to heal. By navigating these patterns in a supportive space you can feel capable of making positive change.

We all have the capacities for joy, brilliance, creativity, and love. This gets blocked by the ordinary and/or extraordinary stress and trauma we each experience throughout our life. Therapy is a great way to move through these blocks and live into a more meaningful and fulfilling life.

Depression, anxiety, and despair invite us to seek out deeper connections and growth. The intimacy that develops in the therapeutic relationship is different from what passes for communication in most peoples' daily lives. In the I and Thou, of genuine therapy, there is no barrier. The goal is to be able to totally see and to be seen. Pretense, persona, the need to impress, many aspects of false perception all fall away. There are no barriers. Hello folks! I'm Jimmy. I'm a gender-queer polyamorous therapist. I work with couples, queer identified folks, and clients in alternative relationship structures. I am trauma-informed and neuro-diverse affirming. All services are telehealth. I only accept out-of-pocket payment. I do not take insurance, but I can provide superbills for clients wanting to use out-of-network benefits.

My understanding of how people are impacted by substance use disorder, trauma, mental illness and the human condition has seen me focus on the utilization of Narrative Therapy, Internal Family Systems Therapy (IFS), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT) and Contemplative Therapy to guide a search for deeper meaning and provide tangible skills to use along the way.

Whether you are living with grief, loss, emptiness, low energy, the demands of a busy world, the impacts of your uniquely complicated past, lack of focus, self-criticism, depleted inspiration, relationship challenges, chronic illness and/or disability, harms due to injustice and systematic oppression, and/or the struggle to find meaning in your life… I invite you to dock your ship in the harbor of your own presence & to seek healing and solace through the accompaniment that therapy offers. I work with trans, nonbinary, and gender questioning individuals and loved ones seeking support in navigating gender related issues. This may mean help clarifying one’s own identity, navigating relationships with others, or accessing various types of gender care. I provide both ongoing therapy, as well as short-term therapy focused on providing letters to access gender care.  I work over telehealth only, and like to do a free 15-minute consult before we get started working together to make sure we are a good fit.

I work with adults, couples, or multi-partner partnerships of all genders and sexualities seeking help with depression, anxiety, parenting, life transitions, & other issues. I provide perinatal and postpartum therapeutic services, including issues related to fertility and family planning, co-/parenting, birthing/birth trauma(s), and blended families . I support sex workers and provide a sex positive space for folks of all identities and sexualities.

Openings for relational work only: weekly & Intensives! Offering skilled, structured, relational intensives to deepen your connection, love, & intimacy from a Trans affirmative, trauma skilled, anti oppressive framework. Traditional 1hr relational therapy can feel slow in offering the change you hunger for. Sessions often end just as vulnerable connectedness starts or right as the heart of the problem arises. Scheduling can be difficult & timely. Explore whether an intensive is right for you. Dive deeper & get to the heart of what’s blocking the love, sex, connectedness, communication & intimacy you deserve in your relationships.

Through Finding Ways LLC I work over telehealth with individuals that identify as LGBTQIA+. Often people come to me with depression, trauma, anxiety, relationship issues, eating disorders and a desire to live with less shame and more ease. Through Deep Dance LLC coaching work I use more somatic movement and dance practices to help support people with their goals and through blockages to them. I am passionate about serving LGBTQIA+ folks and acknowledge intersectionality of various identities within each individual. Sliding scale options are full at this time

Calling neurodivergent people, weirdos, feelers, people who speak to the wind, the ones who are also very logical, people who speak in noises and movement. Queer people, trans people, and all the other magical people who fall under LGBTQIA identities. The ones who seek to understand the wildest and hardest parts of being a human, the philosophers, the ones who speak to plants, etc. AND also humans who just wanna talk to someone who is also a human. I am a pre-licensed professional who is committed to helping teens and adults rise above challenges and adversity. My work is trauma-focused and is oriented in psychodynamic and humanistic techniques. I believe in taking a collaborative approach to helping clients reach their goals.

As a fellow queer nuerodivergent geek, it can be challenging to find mental health professionals who understand the importance of fandoms, videogames, cosplay, and other geeky interests in the therapeutic space. Sometimes it feels like speaking another language. However, here the geeky is celebrated for the strength it has brought and looks at how to transfer those strengths to other areas such as working with anxiety, exploring one's gender identity, or learning to set healthy boundaries with others. I view our time as a place to explore parts we don't often give space to in our regular day.

I support people dealing with depression, anxiety, relational distress, life transitions, gender and sexuality exploration, chronic illness, autism and/or ADHD. Healthy relationships with our family, friends, and support systems including therapy inform our ability to cope, process, and grow. I believe healing happens when we develop self-compassion for our most shamed parts and build support systems that meet us with care and understanding. My style is integrative, mindful and rooted in social justice.

I wish to support people in cultivating capacity, deepening awareness of their own innate strength and power, and processing experience so as to heal and grow in ways that inform how we choose to show up for the future. A primary focus of my work is relationship and working to identify, examine, and transform our sense of connection to self, nature, and others; drawing out thoughts or stories that aim to demean or diminish the benefits of our awareness and sensitivity and then nurture our unique skills and abilities in the realms of connection and communication.

Being a person in 2023 is hard. Whether you're experiencing depression or anxiety, understanding new identities, working towards building healthy relationships, or simply trying to understand your own goals better, it can feel overwhelming. I see therapy as a means of helping you understand how you work, supporting you in identifying strategies for getting your needs met, and building motivation to try new things. I believe in a collaborative approach and work to integrate feedback to co-create a therapy relationship where you feel safe and seen.

I see therapy as a collaboration to support you in connecting with yourself and your needs more deeply. We will work together to reflect on what is and isn’t working, develop understanding and self-compassion for where you’ve been, reimagine what is possible, and build motivation and strategies to lean into who you want to be. Our work will integrate elements of many therapeutic approaches including CBT, self-compassion, ACT, motivational interviewing, solution-focused brief therapy, mindfulness, somatic practice, and parts work.
