I am a licensed clinical psychologist with over 10 years of experience providing individual and group therapy services. I begin the therapeutic process with a discussion of your current symptoms and challenges, your strengths, goals, life experiences, and aspects of your identity that help us better understand your unique circumstances. We then collaboratively develop treatment goals and an individualized plan to help you meet your goals. Ultimately, I aim to help you feel confident in your ability to navigate stressors, regulate emotions, and feel strongly connected to your values.

Feeling connected in a highly individualistic society can be incredibly difficult, especially when dealing with anxiety, depression, trauma or PTSD, or grief. Therapy can be a helpful tool to orient us back to a world of belonging and it is my goal to help you find your own unique path toward this. I am passionate about helping individuals and couples heal relationship issues, identity related and women’s/men’s issues, as well as self-esteem issues, and more. I am whole-heartedly supportive of the LGBTQ+ populations, sex workers, and alternative relationship styles such as ENM, polyamory, and friendships.

In our work together, I'll help you explore your personal history so that you can achieve a deeper understanding of your current problems and achieve greater self-awareness. I believe our early experiences and traumas show up in our current lives and can manifest themselves in a myriad of thoughts, feelings, and behaviors. Therefore, I view therapy as a guide moving us towards the necessary clarity needed to live more purposely, thoughtfully, and with greater self-awareness.

You’re an over-giver, over-achiever, and over-thinker. This pattern leaves you exhausted and lonely. You may doubt yourself or constantly worry about the future. You fear disappointing others, and you feel deeply disappointed in yourself. You desire the confidence to trust your intuition and decisions and to wake up each morning with a sense of purpose and value. You desire to make a significant impact on others and to have deep, enriching relationships.

As both a mental health counselor and registered dietitian, I offer holistic, mind-body connected mental health care for eating disorders, body image, & identity. My work centers around our relationships: our relationship with the self, with others, with food, our bodies and the world around us. This philosophy includes the therapeutic relationship, meaning I deeply prioritize ensuring that you feel connected, heard and seen in our work together. As a sex positive, multiculturally sensitive and LGBT+ allied provider, it is central to my work to affirm and normalize our human experiences in order to dissipate the burdens of shame.

At the PBC, we help people who struggle with problems that they feel are impossible to change, understand, or even think about. Our clients come to us because they are depressed, anxious, in bad relationships, and can't see a path forward. We work well with people who are sensitive and creative, and need someone to help them understand what they've been through and how it impacts them in the here-and-now. Doing this kind of work with someone you trust offers the best hope for lasting change. We don't work well with people who want to be "fixed" without coming to know themselves better in the process.

From the outside you’ve got your shit together, but inside you are exhausted. You show up and do what needs to be done to the best of your ability but all while feeling this internal dread you can’t quite shake. You constantly feel like you are having to adjust to fit into everyone else’s expectations of you. No seriously, you probably feel like a chameleon of some sort always changing to fit in. And the higher your stress climbs the more you reach for coping skills that don’t bring you any real sense of relief. You feel like you are going crazy and may have even googled your symptoms to try to figure what’s wrong with you.

Do you find yourself unable to settle into the present moment? Are you finding your mind racing with thoughts about the past, operating on autopilot, or on continued problem-solving/planning-mode? If so, you might benefit from biopsychosocial mental health interventions based on mindfulness. By using readily available resources in your environment, we can explore what it means to have a life in which you are able to savor the fullness of every passing moment, while also recognizing the ways in which your body communicates different emotions, and how different thoughts impact your body.

I am accepting new clients. I focus on positive growth and change to help you live your best life. I understand that some people are looking to enhance their quality of life, become happier, or otherwise grow and change in new directions. Others may struggle with difficulties, either at home, at work, or with friends and family. I'm not interested in treating people as broken or sick just because they are struggling or have questions. I have experience with tech workers, military, neurodivergent people and I am LGBTQIA+ and poly informed. I identify as both neurodivergent and poly in my own life.

I bring deep understanding and compassion for the ways that individuals try to keep themselves safe within our current political climate. Eating disorders, addiction and other actions can be a wise choice for coping, seeking escape from marginalization, and finding our way through oppression, but they become unsustainable and cause harm over time. I will partner with you to explore your values, build compassion and understanding for yourself, and create a foundation for embodiment, intuition, and joy with your body through nourishment and movement.

As people of color, we have not always been given the opportunity to address the intricacies of our mental health. We need to remind ourselves that we deserve to have a voice and tend to the vulnerable parts of who we are and what we experience in our life. I focus my work on the lived experiences of my clients as I aim to decolonize therapy with a justice-oriented and strengths-based approach. I work with individuals to develop positive tools and resources to help improve their relational and individual wellbeing, so allow me to join you on this journey!
