Welcome! My name is Kathryn, but I also go by Kath, and I work with youth and young adults, ages 12-25. I am honored to partner with you as you begin this epic journey. In my practice, fostering your sense of safety and autonomy is vital to building trust and connection between us. My hope is your feeling of security grows over time, and together, we can cultivate curiosity, compassion, and acceptance as you navigate mental health needs, explore identity, and seek ways to cope during difficult moments. I am here to sit with you through pain and discomfort, and also celebrate joy, empowerment, and transformational change.
I also provide caregiver coaching, particularly with caregivers supporting teens who have experienced trauma and/or are neurodivergent. I pull from a variety of evidence based modalities, but am specifically trained in Trauma Focused CBT, Eye Movement and Desensitization Reprocessing (EMDR), and have strong experience with attachment based therapy.
I am a white, queer, gender non-conforming person. I strive to provide affirming therapy for LGBTQIA2S+, neurodivergent, and BIPOC communities. You are courageous for reaching out and seeking support in therapy. While therapy is challenging, it is my hope that you will leave each session with a better understanding of yourself and who you are in the world.
