In addition, your friends or family members might think that you are wasting your time and money. So, I can understand how cultural and even your mind will try to convince you that you don't need counseling. So, when is necessary to participate in counseling? I would say whenever you want to get to know more about yourself, when you are noticing doubts, sadness, anxiety, anger, loneliness, and other factors interfering with your sleep, mood, relationships, and daily performance.

I am a therapist, EMDR Therapist, Certified Forensic Mental Health Evaluator, and a proud graduate of Regent University where I earned a master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling. I have a Master's in Clinical Psychology from Fielding Graduate University. My focus includes depression, anxiety, PTSD, and OCD. I conduct Immigration Evaluations using an integrative approach to therapy that includes various treatment modalities based on your therapeutic and personal needs. Because of my service in ministry, I am uniquely positioned to offer spiritual counseling from a Christian perspective at your request.

Confusion. So Many things have happened in your life, and you can’t seem to put your finger on “why?”. It’s as if you are putting together some of the pieces of the puzzle but something is missing. You have the edges and even most of the center…but you see that it’s not complete. Yet again you ask yourself that haunting question - ‘why do I keep doing some of these same behaviors?’ And you’ve sought out help from many different people both professionals and friends; you’ve even turned to your faith for answers but all to no avail.

I enjoy working with people from ages 16- 35. These are exciting and challenging times. Many people graduate from high school, go to college, start careers and start families. These are times when people begin to get to know themselves and become their true selves. These transitions can come with unique challenges. Sometimes one's values do not align with their families values, or their talents are not celebrated in their community. It can be very difficult to balance the demands of school, extra-curricular activities and a social life. Also, life doesn't stand still so difficult events like death, divorce and break-ups happen.

I work with individuals, couples, and families in helping them achieve control over "emotional hijacking" and poor decision making. Feelings like fear, sorrow, anger, rejection prevent people from experiencing connectedness with life and with others. Therefore, the ideal client is one who is struggling with relationship problems, anger, addictions (sexual or chemical), poor stress control, depression, or anxiety-I provide a safe environment where the individual's pain and/or struggle is met with understanding alongside a plan of action to address the issue(s).
