Dr. Steven Powell graduated from University of Texas and attended Rush Medical College to complete his family medicine residency at John Peter Smith Hospital in Fort Worth. He has worked at Barrio Comprehensive Health Center in San Antonio, as Medical Director, as well as Austin Regional Clinic where he also served as a board member. Board certified in Family Medicine and a member of the American Academy of Family Physicians and the Texas Medical Association, Dr. Powell has had an interest and commitment to addiction treatment in primary care since 2008, treating hundreds of patients with medication assisted therapy.

RJ García is a Central Texan with over thirty-five years of serving the recovery community. RJ earned a Master of Arts in Addiction Counseling from the world-renowned Hazelden Betty Ford Graduate School of Addiction Studies at the Center City, Minnesota alcohol and drug addiction treatment center. HGSAS offered a unique curriculum that integrates theory, science and clinical practice. RJ is a member of the American Counseling Association. RJ is bilingual in both English and Spanish. RJ has a special blend of experience in recovery in educational services, health expertise in interventions, therapy, and heroic habits coaching.

I help clients set personal goals for treatment. Every therapy session is interactive and engaged with the client to process personal growth. Client will achieve personal goals on their own time. I do apply evident-based and cognitive behavior to allow the client to process and provide self evaluation. I am a therapist, life coach and self-published author that is passionate about mental health awareness, especially within the African-American community! I entered the field of counseling because of a desire to help those in crisis or who are experiencing difficulties in their lives.
