About
RJ García is a Central Texan with over thirty-five years of serving the recovery community. RJ earned a Master of Arts in Addiction Counseling from the world-renowned Hazelden Betty Ford Graduate School of Addiction Studies at the Center City, Minnesota alcohol and drug addiction treatment center. HGSAS offered a unique curriculum that integrates theory, science and clinical practice. RJ is a member of the American Counseling Association. RJ is bilingual in both English and Spanish. RJ has a special blend of experience in recovery in educational services, health expertise in interventions, therapy, and heroic habits coaching.
RJ has a unique ability to work with a variety of life experiences and work closely with you to define a collaborative treatment approach. RJ is familiar with several in-patient and outpatient services to assist you with issues that are beyond services offered.
RJ will work with you as a therapist and case manager along with a physician/psychiatrist and/or counselor so that services are designed for you to assure continuity of care.

Adult Children of Alcoholics/Addiction
This small unique group provides a safe environment for the means for arresting the emotional disease of family alcoholism/addiction. This is done by sharing information and experiences with one another and by applying to their own lives, in whole or in part, the Twelve Steps which constitute the recovery program upon which Alcoholics Anonymous is founded. The 16 Week group will be facilitated by RJ Garcia and will use the ACOA 12 Step Workbook as a guide. Please contact RJ for more information with date and time plus any cost per session.
