Hi There! I'm Kristin and I have served as a Therapist, School Counselor, Child Life Specialist and Parent Educator. I enjoy meeting my clients right where they are in their life journey, exploring how they arrived to that place and then setting goals to achieve through our time together. Upon request, I also provide Christian-Based/Biblical Counseling.

I am a licensed professional counselor in the state of Texas. I have 5 years experience serving children, adolescents, families, and veterans through individual or group therapy who are dealing with issues that affect their mental health and well-being. More specifically, addressing a variety of mental health issues such as depression, anxiety, post-traumatic stress, substance abuse, and personality disorders. My counseling philosophy includes Rational Emotive Behavior and Choice Reality Therapy, placing emphasis on reshaping core beliefs in those individuals experiencing a variety of mental health conditions,

I am a firm believer of meeting people where they are in life. My therapeutic process focuses on working collaboratively to address issues and find solutions that work best for the individual. My goal is to establish a safe relationship, instill hope, and empower individuals by emphasizing the power of doing what is in their control.

My counseling style is practical and positive. I am passionate and I treat you with respect. My approach combines cognitive-behavioral, dialectical-behavioral, reality therapy, and is solution-focused.

My approach to therapy is centered on providing conscious aware therapy to help clients rediscover their purpose, passion, and mission in life. I believe that every person deserves to give themselves permission to know that they matter and that they deserve to show up for themselves. My goal is to show up for my clients and walk alongside them in their healing journey, helping them to identify and unpack past experiences that are impacting their present. I am passionate about helping clients see themselves and share love and compassion to all parts of themselves.

I specialize in addictions (both adult and adolescent) and parent child relationships with teenagers. I work with young adults in helping them transition from high school to college to adult life. I have also had a great deal of experience working with victims of sexual abuse (both adult and adolescent). I believe in helping people define what they want and help them figure out a plan to work towards that goal. As a therapist who has formerly worked in full time ministry I also enjoy working with people who are dealing with religious issues whether it is deconstruction or helping them develop the spiritual life they want.

Life can throw many curves and sometimes you don't know how to respond. Sometimes communication can be a struggle, and you need help knowing how to do it effectively. There are times when what you normally do is no longer working and figuring it out can be a struggle. We provide therapy that helps lead to healthy behaviors to improve relationships, express emotions better, think more positively, and do better at school and/or work.

Hi there, I'm Vanessa. I am a Licensed Professional Counselor living in the state of Texas. Often reducing depression, anxiety, and stress are common goals I have assisted in attaining. Also, grief processing and improving family communication skills are needs I have addressed. For my approach I choose Reality Therapy. I also find Cognitive/Behavioral techniques useful.

My passion for counseling was rooted in my experience with at risk youth from my childhood to my career in education. I saw the importance of being seen and heard and addressing the individual's needs to attain success versus expecting rote societal compliance. Transitioning to being a therapist from a school based educator was a direct response to understanding that we must first address our lived experience and individual needs to see how that informs our present circumstances and future goals; so that we can achieve our goals while also having autonomy regarding the pathway we choose to get there.

My broad-range experience: studied at Ohio State University under top-ranked professors in Counseling Psychology and brain injury. RESIDENCIES: Minneapolis VA hospital; Ohio State's brain injury rehab unit. 17+ years inpatient rehab neuropsychology experience at Baylor Rehab Dallas, Pate Rehab. 1990-95: Christian counseling & neuropsychology at Minirth-Meier Clinic. Adjunct Professor: LPC-level Counseling degree program at Dallas Theological Seminary.

For over twenty-five years, I have counseled hundreds of children and individuals with a variety of issues from depression, anxiety, behavior issues and self esteem. I help clients with issues using my vast background and proven knowledge with Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Reality Therapy. Amber is a Licensed Professional Counselor Associate here in the DFW area. She enjoys working with clients of all ages to discuss issues related to anxiety, depression, eating disorders, low self-esteem, gender identity affirmation, and many more concerns. As a biracial counselor, she offers a unique personal perspective on issues with personal and cultural identity and incorporates social and multicultural theories in her counseling perspective. As a Fort Worth local, she is passionate about her community and helping those in it.
