Life can be overwhelming and difficult to navigate. You may be having difficulty finding a safe space that allows you to grow your strengths while tackling your challenges. Anxiety, depression, and life transitions often lead us to making the brave choice to seek help. I hope to provide a safe space for you as you begin your journey to healing and growth through humor, objective insights, and realistic positivity. Life was never meant to be done alone, and I would be honored to walk beside you as embark on the therapeutic process.
Every client is unique with a unique mindset and learning platform. I approach every client differently, because we are all individuals. Equine Therapy has been hugely beneficial in encouraging honesty and authenticity. Horses are human lie detectors and provide such comfort as the client works through their trauma. The ideal client, no matter the issues they are working through, would be one that wants to focus on finding the solution and be willing to dig into the emotional causes. Facing fears and past trauma is not easy. It takes a lot of courage and trust must be built with the counselor, the client and the horse.
Whitney has experience working in pre-school education, children’s ministries, and recovery programs. Since beginning her counseling career, she has worked with a wide variety of clients from children/adolescent to adults. Whitney is passionate about helping clients, especially those who are working on healing from trauma. She loves working with teens and young adults who may be in transitional seasons or are facing overwhelming situations in their life. She also finds joy in walking with those who may be navigating difficult family circumstances and learning to find their place and purpose in life.

Reaching out takes great courage, especially when someone is seeking guidance. Life has the tendency to cause people to cope in ways that are not necessarily beneficial. They may develop problems like depression or anxiety as a result of stressors. Or, they may turn towards abusing substances as a way to change how they feel. Reaching out for help during this time may be scary and seem impossible. My goal, as a therapist, is to come alongside my clients so that they don’t walk alone through whatever may be troubling them. I hope to be able to help anyone struggling to deal with life on life’s terms.
I provide a safe and accepting environment to heal from past traumas, anxiety, and relationship difficulties. If you've tried before but things just aren't coming together you know how frustrating it is to not be able to be the real you. At first I'll help you identify where these difficulties come from, followed by learning and practicing ways to manage negative symptoms, and last we work together to resolve these issues at the root so you don't have to worry about them reoccurring. If you are ready, I'd be honored to work with you.
If you are struggling in your current circumstances, there is hope! Michael Jordan once said "Obstacles don't have to stop you. If you run into a wall, don't turn around and give up. Figure out how to climb it, go through it, or work around it." It is my joy and purpose to help others find their way through or around their obstacles. I show hope to others in order to help them through those circumstances that bring them to me. If you are ready to make some changes, I am here for you!
