Hello there! My name is Bill and I hold a Master's degree in School & Mental Health Counseling from the University of Pennsylvania. I also completed my undergraduate coursework in Family & Human Services from the University of Oregon, and earned another Master's degree in Special Education from Penn State. I am a licensed professional counselor in both Pennsylvania and Delaware and have been certified as a National Counselor by the NBCC. With my extensive experience, I specialize in working with children, young adults, and parents.

I believe every one has their own unique potential in overcoming adversity. Life is not easy and often times we need support and someone to listen to our fears, hopes, dreams. We sometimes, need a nudge in a certain direction that we can't clearly see. I can help provide that nudge with whatever your are struggling with and provide insight on how to get there. I also do life coaching. Life coaching is different than therapy in that you may need guidance but not have a psychological disorder.

I believe one of the most important parts of the counseling process is to develop a trusting caring relationship. With this relationship, much can be gained from the counseling sessions. I have worked well with individuals and families who have emotional pain. For many clients, helping them understand what creates such emotional pain, gaining insights puts them on a path for a more fulfilling life. In my practice I work with individuals who have sadness, depression, loss, relationship difficulties, family difficulties, sexual challenges and sexual abuse. My mission in therapy is to respect each client, and walk with them at their healing pace, I believe if we walk together on this healing journey life will be better.

You can change your life to be, do, and obtain precisely what you want. But this must start with a decision on goals and a willingness to be flexible in your beliefs and actions to achieve them. Drawing from a variety of treatment styles and approaches including Experiential, Acceptance and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (one of the most effective treatments for many chronic, recurring, and challenging mental health conditions), I focus on establishment of systemic connection and the emotional experience, authenticity, empathic understanding and compassion.
