Therapy is you and me, sitting in a room, being honest together. It sounds simple, but when the connection is real, it can be a transformative process. For most of us, it’s hard to find a place where we can be our real true selves without fear of the repercussions or reactions. Here, you are actively invited to show up as you are, be it messy, complicated, broken, or simply lost; I’m here for you exactly as you are. Together we’ll explore what’s holding you back, bringing you down, and making things difficult. We’ll work through these things without judgment to help you move forward into a less painful, more fulfilling future.
We are a small, private psychological practice providing services in both the Carlisle and Shippensburg areas. We are passionate about our work. We view our therapeutic relationship as the medium in which change happens, allowing your time spent in therapy to be beneficial and worthwhile for you and/or your child. We work with a variety of presenting problems including anxiety, depression, situational stress, childhood trauma, grief/loss, behavioral disorders, ADHD, autism spectrum disorders as well as perinatal health.
Whether you're experiencing a recent difficulty or a long-standing challenge, therapy is a terrific opportunity for healing and self-growth in a safe, non-judgmental and supportive environment. Emphasizing warm and caring relationships with my clients, I help them to address certain behaviors, beliefs, attitudes and emotions. As they continue to gain insight, we work together to establish healthier and more effective patterns of behaviors. I believe, when we attain insight we can feel increased freedom and optimism; we no longer feel "stuck" and hopeless in our pain.
I am a licensed Marriage and Family Therapist with over 15 years of experience. I provide counseling to individuals, teens, couples and families. My training was specifically "systems" based so working within the dynamics of a couple or family is a process that I am very comfortable with. Typically I will incorporate Cognitive Behavioral techniques as well as Mindfulness-based techniques into therapy. I enjoy humor and, when appropriate, will use humor often in the counseling I provide. Most importantly, I strive to provide a safe, collaborative, objective and non-judgmental setting where all clients can process difficulties.
This is a difficult and overwhelming time for most. Now, more than ever, we can all use support. I am committed to providing compassionate, supportive, and effective care to those that I work with. My goal is to enhance the behavioral and emotional adjustment and well-being of those that I work with using the most effective and efficient research-based treatment approaches.

Maybe a part of you doesn't feel okay with the changes or plans that are happening. There is room for that here. I have daytime availability for new people at this time.
