I believe one of the most important parts of the counseling process is to develop a trusting caring relationship. With this relationship, much can be gained from the counseling sessions. I have worked well with individuals and families who have emotional pain. For many clients, helping them understand what creates such emotional pain, gaining insights puts them on a path for a more fulfilling life. In my practice I work with individuals who have sadness, depression, loss, relationship difficulties, family difficulties, sexual challenges and sexual abuse. My mission in therapy is to respect each client, and walk with them at their healing pace, I believe if we walk together on this healing journey life will be better.
I enjoy working with individuals, children adolescents, couples and families. I also work with individuals experiencing Post Traumatic Stress Disorder and depression. As well, I work with individuals and couples who are having sexual challenges. I work extensively with individuals who are adult survivors of sexual abuse and trauma. My office offers my clients an environment of respect and caring .
I view the world from a multifaceted perspective from my education in psychology and theology. I believe every individual deserves to be respected and can gain from our counseling relationship. I have been a Adjunct Professor in a master level counseling program as a way helping new therapist grow in their skills as a way of continuously growing in my own counseling skills.
