I am most passionate about helping individuals develop coping skills and resiliency so they can live their best life. I have over 15 years counseling experience working with children, teens, and adults with a variety of mental health diagnoses. I provide a safe and hopeful environment for these individuals to work toward resolution of their specific challenges.
Tired of repeating old, unsatisfying patterns in relationship? Ready to break free from constricting insecurities and inhibitions? Need help being kinder and more accepting toward yourself? Want to live less in your thoughts and more in your body? In our hyper-busy, hyper-verbal world, it's easy to get stuck in endless loops of thinking and talking about these issues without finding resolution. But by slowing down our brains and connecting with embodied experience, we open up space for new possibilities of thinking, feeling and behaving to emerge.
Do you feel stuck? Perhaps you used to feel confident and capable, and now you feel like you just can't get any traction. I work with people who are used to having all of the answers, and now find themselves at a loss - smart tweens who are struggling with their emotions, smart teenagers who are struggling with their families, smart adults who feel stuck or making bad choices. People who are creative and hard-working often find me to be a good fit for their goals, including those who are in non-traditional jobs, in jobs with outside of 9-5 hours, non-traditional relationships, and are LGBTQI+.

Hello! I'm John (they/them), and I look forward to meeting you. I believe that every human being is able to live a life of joy and connection. We all encounter obstacles to this along the way— in our families and relationships, in our physical health, and in our lived experiences with the larger social and ecological systems around us. The heart of my work is in supporting each person to explore these experiences and use them to develop their own authentic, courageous relationships with self, others, and the wider world.
I believe the relationship developed in therapy is a powerful one and strive to create a safe space for everyone who walks through my door, fostering respect for every individual. Through an insight-oriented holistic collaborative approach, I focus on supporting and empowering clients through their therapeutic process. I have a background in helping clients experiencing concerns related to trauma, life transitions, impacts of shame, depression and anxiety, sexuality, and navigating the coming out and gender affirmation processes.

That's where I come in as a licensed psychotherapist as well as a medical social worker. I'm skilled at hearing what people are saying and helping them to figure out strategies for improving their situation. I work with a variety of clients ---men, women and children from all sexualities, gender identities, and races to help them with all sorts of issues.
