"I'm not going to tell you to get over it, I'm going to help you get through it." For over 18 years I have guided individuals on their path towards healing, higher self-awareness, and overall wellness. Many of us struggle with feeling alone, left out, unheard, tired, unconnected, anxious, sad, or fearful. Therapy is a way to change those negative feelings and to address all of the "stuff" we have pushed so far down that we don't know where to start. And you don't have to do it alone.
As a seasoned professional I have experience working with all age groups. I specialize in the treatment of children and adolescents and their families. I also have advanced training in and experience with providing Marriage and Family therapy. I offer group therapy as the need arises within a specific population. My practice is conveniently located in Manheim Township in Lancaster County PA.. I offer day, evening, and weekend appointments and I am flexible with scheduling to meet your individual needs.
More Than Just Talk....... If you haven't been in psychotherapy before, you may not realize that the traditional approach to treatment is to educate the client about their conditions and teach them how to change their own feelings and behaviors. Although this approach can be very helpful, it is usually a long process that depends a great deal on the individual's courageous persistence. Moreover, a change in behavior and belief does not necessarily resolve the history of negative experiences fueling such things as depression and anxiety. These are some of the reasons I offer "More Than Just Talk".
Sometimes it just seems like we are going through life without direction. Sometimes we have never really been able to express who we are to another person. Sometimes we just feel lost. Whatever the reason, know that you don’t have to go through each day feeling this way. Through counseling, you can learn what the next steps might be for you and how to manage your emotions. I will be empathetic and honest. The therapeutic alliance can be such a powerful force to help you see your issues in a different light.

Grief sucks… But you don’t have to do it alone. When we’re grieving, it can feel like no one understands, that we’re losing our minds, that we may be mired in the muck forever, and that things will never return to the way they were. Grief is both universal AND incredibly difficult. But you are not alone, there are people who understand, and while life will never be quite the same again, you can continue your relationship with your loved one and live a fulfilling life.
Anxiety, depression, grief, & stress are just some of the issues that people are facing today. As a school counselor for nearly a decade, I have experiences with new trends and treatments to help overcome these obstacles so you do not become consumed by them.
At any stage of development, we are bound to encounter obstacles to our ability to thrive. I help clients to become proactive agents in their own process. I have worked extensively with clients across all ages to reduce symptoms, promote growth, and instill lasting change. I support children, teens, adults, and families in healing from anxiety, trauma, grief, and depression. I have a speciality in working with LGBTQIA+ individuals, especially GNC and transgender folks. I am licensed to treat people in about 25 states. This means if you relocate for college or other life circumstances, you can maintain continuity of treatment.

*I am now offering Telehealth appointments* Change is hard. When you’re in the middle of a life transition, it’s easy to feel lost. Heading off to college or a new career, going through a divorce or a newly “empty nest”, questioning your religious faith or your sexuality are just some of the things that can make you feel like you’re not sure who you are anymore. Maybe you want to make a change but can’t figure out what direction you want to go in. We all need guidance sometimes.
