Traditionally trained in psychodynamic and CBT. However, clients who are open to an overarching paradigm of spiritual/energy concepts have proven to benefit the most from CognoSpiritual Psychotherapy which I developed to address clinical issues, e.g., anxiety, depression, grief, trauma, and other psychological/emotional issues associated with living and working in this world. A fundamental assumption of the paradigm is that "God" is spirit/energy in All things, people, situations (omniscient, omnipresent, omnipotent energy), not limited to man-made divisions of faith and practice.

Life can seem overwhelming and intense, at times it may feel like the chaos and confusion are too much to bear on your own. Conflicts within ourselves, our spouses, family, friends and children arise, uncertainty of when it will end begins to consume us and starts to feel normal. Sometimes life has felt like this since childhood, carrying a weight that is too heavy, creating patterns and a lifestyle that just aren’t working. Children can experience intense and uncertain feelings, not knowing how to regulate their emotions, or seek out validation can lead to confusion that transpires into adulthood.

Serving Central Ohioans for thirty years, I AM an EMDR trained, heart-centered Therapist/Social Worker/Teacher/Artist/Reiki Master. My work focuses on enhancing the holistic well-being of adolescents and adults suffering from aversive childhood experiences, traumatic events, Near Death Experiences, and every day stress that provokes anxiety and/or depression. My efforts focus on building confidence and strong identity with people experiencing chronic conditions/disabilities, internationals, (Je parle le français) and spiritual seekers through a growing array of approaches like DBT, Feminist Therapy and Integral Psychotherapy.

Mrs. Miller is an international expert on child abuse, childhood trauma, attachment, and family violence or severe stress. Her paper on severe child abuse as torture has been downloaded in 83 countries. She speaks to international audiences on how to treat complex trauma in young people using innovative techniques that have been scientifically proven- including play-based, sensory, and experiential treatment (water, sand, nature), expressive treatments (art, music, animal, and yoga therapy,) and humanist therapy based on compassion for all people. She also provides expert witness and forensic services.

Ambulatory detox, Medication Assisted Treatment, PHP, IOP (intensive outpatient therapy, virtual IOP, outpatient therapy, Aftercare, and Case Management Services. .If clients are in need of a higher level of care prior to coming to Dove, I will assist in the process with a partnering detox facility. Ideal clients for Dove Recovery are those men, and women struggling with mental health, drugs, and alcohol. We do exceptional work with those who have mental health issues, such as bipolar disorder, anxiety disorders, depressive disorders, and others, with a primary diagnosis of substance use disorder. I am a licensed professional clinical counselor supervisor in the state of Ohio. My specialties include the treatment of anxiety disorders, depressive disorders, personality disorders, and trauma-related disorders. I offer diagnostic assessment and empirically based treatment for children, adolescents, and adults. I am certified in Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), but use a combination of therapy techniques based on patients’ needs including cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT) and Mindfulness techniques with an emphasis on social skills training. We also offer therapeutic/relaxation massage, Reiki therapy, and guided meditation.

Not every therapist is for a client and not every client for a therapist. The Client-Clinician relationship is of greatest importance. I work with a variety of populations, presenting issues, and within different realms of interventions and theories. It is not a one shoe fits all. I meet the client where they are and work accordingly. Now that is not to say I do not nudge gently with a soft challenge. If I didn't I would not be doing my work, nor the service you (and everyone) deserves! I utilize animals within therapy work in sessions.

I work well with teen and adult clients who are trauma survivors and help individuals find voice to make meaning, particularly through the use of creativity. I work well with clients who are seeking help with mental health issues such as PTSD, anxiety, depression, identity issues and/or substance use. Many of my clients report they have found value in the therapeutic alliance we co-create, as I make establishing trust and safety a key value. I believe that individuals possess the innate potential to discover healing and define their own journey. I work with persons aged 13 and up.

I am a Jungian-informed, credentialed music therapist who has been working in the mental health field for 10 years. I believe that the most effective therapist serves as a guide to help participants connect to their innermost thoughts, feelings, and values. I am interested in empowering participants to discover and understand their unique qualities so that they may lead lives of meaning. I utilize the therapeutic relationship to explore attachment patterns in order to help participants understand their own relational adaptations and needs.
