Mrs. Miller is an international expert on child abuse, childhood trauma, attachment, and family violence. Her paper on severe child abuse as torture has been downloaded in 83 countries. She speaks to international audiences on how to treat complex trauma using innovative techniques that have been scientifically proven, including play-based, sensory-integrated (water, sand, sound, aromas, taste), experiential treatment (animal, nature), expressive treatments (art, music, movement) and humanist therapy based on compassion for all people.
My practice is based on unconditional compassion for all people. I have worked extensively with women and adolescent girls who have survived trauma and abuse, and with young children who have survived severe abuse or torture. I have also supported women and teen girls through pregnancy, delivery, post-partum, and mothering vs. adoption.
