Richland Oaks Counseling Center (ROCC) is a non-profit clinic with offices in Richardson and McKinney. We offer a full spectrum of services including psychotherapy for children, adolescents, and adults in individual, couple, family, and group therapy settings. ROCC also offers a range of psychological testing services including assessments of intelligence, personality, learning disorders and giftedness, ADD/ADHD, Disability and Rehabilitation Service assessments, and assessments to aid in the diagnosis and treatment of other mental health concerns.

I have a passion for working with others to improve their quality of life. I have spent over twenty years working with children of all ages, adolescents and adults, whom have had emotional, behavioral, medical and learning challenges. I have experience providing family and marital counseling. My experience also includes working with individuals whom have dual diagnosis using different forms of psychotherapy. I meet my clients where they are to partner with them in making a positive impact in their lives. I choose to live my life by the words of Mahatma Gandhi “You must be the Change you wish to see in the World".

My practice is all about improving self-awareness, self-control, and resiliency. I also focus on strengthening overall family connection and support. I use an eclectic blend of evidence-based theories and experiential practice. That means using the best of science in ways that are real, relevant and in-the-moment.

Our highly-trained and passionate staff consists of licensed psychologists, Dr. Phillip E. Morris, and Dr. Kristy Money, and Licensed Professional Counselor Jennifer Deliganis, LPC-S. Children often do not have the words to express what they are thinking or feeling. Traditional talk therapy alone is rarely successful in helping children process difficult life situations. I help children overcome anxiety, depression, and other challenges. I also assist parents in building strong, open relationships with their children. If your child is going through anxiety, sadness, behavior problems, social issues, or life changes (divorce, loss of a loved one, etc.) I am happy to walk along side them in their journey. In addition to working with children, I also see teens and adults.

My client population includes children, adolescents and adults. I work with individuals as well as families. I facilitate numerous groups and skills training curriculum in various topics including adolescent first offenders, anger management, divorce and separation, parenting, and teen issues.

April has a passion for helping struggling children, adolescents, young adults and their families. Having experienced the effects of alcoholism, depression and mental health illness in her family, she has a deep compassion for people struggling with mental illness and she believes counseling is a calling, not a profession. April is a Licensed Professional Counselor and she has over 15 years of experience working with individuals, families and groups.
