Hello and welcome. I am a Licensed and Board-Certified Therapist in Maryland and Pennsylvania with 10 years of professional work experience. I am a certified, as well as a lifelong, practitioner of meditation and yoga. My clinical experience comes from providing direct mental health and behavioral counseling for young children, teens, and adults with a variety of presenting issues including stress/anxiety, depression, grief and loss, relationship and family issues, trauma recovery, racialized and intergenerational trauma recovery, mood instability, ADHD and gender identity.

I specialize in working with adult individuals and couples/families providing mindfulness and skills based psychotherapy. Let’s find new ways to work with old problems. For over 15 years I have specialized in working with the mind and the body using both traditional therapy and mindfulness techniques. This skills based approach, using non-violent communication and relationship enhancement therapy, a skills based learning approach to improve communication and empathy interpersonally. This work is about finding your own inner balance and resolution and feeling free to express your authenticity. I work with mood disorders, anxiety, sleep, stress, family and relationship conflicts, compulsions and addictions. I use my own mix of many theoretical and practice techniques in the service of your resolution, integration and wholeness, with special expertise in relationship counseling, spirituality and gender issues.

In my experience, inside every person there is a psychological center, like a ‘Light’ leading us to love, healing, joy and growth. In a deep place in each of us, it is always present, though sometimes hidden. Known by many different names and through many different senses - center, core, soul, real-self, heart or unconscious, it is wise and kind and delights to do no harm, and intends only good. We all have a longing to connect to this profound potential, goodness and love within ourselves, within others and in all. I enjoy supporting folks in their journey back to this connection.

I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker who has experience treating depression, anxiety and trauma. I work with children, teens and adults. I hope to foster an environment where you can feel safe and open to express your thoughts, feelings and experiences, and work on learning new and healthier ways to express and cope with your emotions and stressors. At this time I am not accepting new clients who require appointments after 4pm, and can only accept new clients who have day time availability.
