I offer a safe & confidential place for you to come and talk about anything in your life that may be causing you distress or confusion. I believe that counselling can benefit anyone; it can really help to talk to someone who is objective & professional. Often people come to counselling with no clear idea of what they want or how they feel. There is no expectation from me with regards to the issues you bring; counselling is your space & it is common for people to feel confused or unsure. My aim is to support you through the process & help you to better understand yourself & your struggles, so that you can move forward with your life.

I am a compassionate, warm, friendly therapist. I have experience working as a psychotherapist in the NHS for 4 years with a diverse range of individuals in the community and in-patient hospitals. I am currently extending training as a psychosexual and relationship therapist. This area of therapy feels very important to me, as I believe that relationships act as mirrors, reflecting both our strengths and areas for growth. By exploring these reflections together, we can uncover deeper insights into who we are, helping to foster healthier and more fulfilling connections with ourselves and others. I work with couples or individuals.

Update: As of April 2025, I am OPEN to new enquiries. When life is difficult, it is often a signal that we need to pause and listen. Discomfort, hurt and struggle are experiences that are waiting to be seen, recognised, acknowledged and loved. Like uninvited visitors, they knock on our doors saying, ‘Please let me in.’ What if it were possible to give voice to those aspects of you that have been pushed away or abandoned? This is what psychotherapy can offer – a creative space in which you can learn to listen deeply to all the facets of who you are.

It’s when you sense, or realise, that things can’t remain the same and yet you feel frozen, unable to act, and you don’t know what to do. A personal crisis might leave you feeling powerless and anxious. Then you find that the ways in which you generally deal with problems aren’t working: the people you’d usually turn to for support aren’t enough, they might be too involved with the issues you’re facing. You might also feel unwell. It’s not uncommon to feel anxious, depressed or emotionally fragile. This is when counselling can help. I offer Face to Face, Walk and Talk, Online and Telephone Counselling.

UPDATE: I will be on maternity leave from September 2025. Hi, I'm Lucy. I'm an integrative counsellor meaning I tailor my practice to your young person (9-21 years) to best meet their needs. Is your child struggling with knowing where they fit in? I use a range of interventions working creatively to help them find comfort in exploring who they really are. I find working online gives clients the safety to be themselves in their own space. I have worked with young people for over eleven years including as a secondary school teacher before training as a counsellor. I have several years of experience working with the LGBTQ+ community.

My approach to counselling is relational. The foundation of any work we do together will be based on me developing a strong, trusting therapeutic relationship with you where you may feel safe enough to explore what's going on. I have a warm, calm, non-judgemental and open-minded approach to my work. I will hold space for you to explore difficult or distressing thoughts or feelings but I also recognise the importance of humour in therapy. I am a trauma-informed practitioner, which means working with you in a way that establishes safety, trust and respect for diversity and cultural differences.

So often in our lives we reach a place where we are struggling in some capacity or another. It may be a deep-rooted issue that goes back to childhood, a past relationship or a trauma. It may be some destructive behaviour such as a form of self-harm or an eating disorder. It may be a negative thought process that is having an impact on our daily life. Whatever the issue, I believe counselling can help. Having a place where we can allow ourselves time and a calm space to think, talk and work things out can be absolutely priceless.

Hello, I’m Kate. I am a qualified Psychotherapist specialising in anxiety, depression and women's related issues. This encompasses many of the challenges we face today like societal pressures, career struggles, low self esteem, finding or maintaining meaningful, healthy relationships. I have wide experience with those who identify as women on varying journeys of motherhood, including fertility struggles or being childless by choice, birth trauma or PND, and all the heavy emotions that can accompany those journeys. We can explore the impact these have on your day-to-day life and navigate a way through to a place of empowerment.

Hello and welcome. At a certain point life your life may bring about very human concerns: doubts, uncertainties and dissatisfactions concerning your relationships, your understanding of yourself and your life as a whole. This may leave you feeling overwhelmed, out of control within the unknown, alone, stuck, anxious (physically or philosophically) or angry whilst you attempt to navigate this. Being with an empathic and non-judgmental neutral party who is not a family member or a friend can help in gaining increased self-understanding, self-acceptance, support you to identify your own unique life meaning and envision a way forward.
