My treatment philosophy focuses on the "psychology of use". Most people come to therapy due to experiencing problems, but it is how we deal with our problems that actually is the "real problem". We react to current problems based on what we experienced in the past. Due to our own survival needs at the time of experience, unique ways were formed, which we continued to bring forward for future use, even if it does not match with our current challenges. My treatment goal is to help you realize the wrong ways, and to reorientate you to helpful ways.

My focus is on Relationship Counselling. This encompasses all forms of relationships on an individual, couple or group counselling basis. Often when clients come in, clarification may be needed in order for clients to fully understand their part in a relationship. If this is the case, the first sessions will be on how to communicate from a grounded, rational viewpoint. Once this is achieved, clients will move into the next phase of deep relational emotion focused counselling to allow for a deeper understanding of self and each other.

Our clients generally report that they handle stress better, focus more, improve sleep and mood, in addition to feeling more relaxed. This is just some of the ways that Neurofeedback can help. Our systems use EEG Biofeedback to collect information about your brain's electrical activity, then they inform your brain about it's own performance in a way that the brain can then use to optimize. We need no diagnosis or referral to train your brain; it is easy and accessible for people of all ages. Our systems train the whole brain at once, relying on the body's innate self-regulating capacity.

Maybe you are struggling with anxiety and depression, going through a big life change, looking to heal past trauma, facing challenges in your relationships, or just needing a space to talk. I work with individuals who are seeking therapy for many reasons. Together we will decide what you need to feel supported. Therapy is a place to talk freely without judgment, to feel heard and validated, and to feel less alone. It can also be a space to gain tools to help regulate emotions and feel more resourced in times of stress. Therapy can also be a space to heal deep wounds and to process the impacts of past painful.
