My focus is on Trauma Counselling. This encompasses all forms of trauma and addiction. Addiction is often misunderstood. The source usually stems from trauma causing fear based behaviour. I originally was focusing my practice on relationships and realised that the lack of communication and feeling overwhelmed within relationships also is fear based and often stems from trauma.
Knowing when you are reacting from your trauma on a day to day basis creates an awareness around what’s real and what isn’t. This awareness stems from the mind/body connection.
Realising that fear stops everyone from moving forward is key to creating a successful, grounded, happy life. Because once you have this awareness, you have the ability to change the state in which you have been living. ‘Your reality’ so to speak. Give yourself permission to be happy!
I use various techniques to get you to a grounded state so you can move forward and not be ‘stuck’! Aside from tools within the scope of ‘talk therapy’, I am also a member of the hypnosis society and have found hypnosis to be an effective tool for trauma based interventions.

This is for women that have a spouse that has under gone prostate cancer treatment. Often women are forgotten when cancer treatment effects their life greatly. This is an opportunity for women to share ideas, pain, wins and losses. a community of women coming together for support.
