Reaching out for help is never easy, but neither is hanging onto years of pain. I am passionate about helping people heal. I find myself most commonly working with PTSD, faith transitions, anxiety, depression, and complex trauma. I'm specially trained in EMDR, a method that is highly effective in treating all types of trauma. So much of our upbringings impact how we view ourselves in the world. That's why my counseling works to repair past hurts so we can repair the present. To do that, I connect with my clients in a natural, authentic way. Counseling is a raw process, and I'm with you every step of the way.
I am accepting of my clients' issues and like to take a culturally-sensitive (religion, race, family, backgrounds different from my own) approach to the clients' problems. I offer a safe and nonjudgmental space to delve into your most important issues. I have worked in a variety of settings including substance abuse and private practice for 12 years.
