I provide psychological testing and evaluation to address challenges related to memory, attention (ADHD), learning disabilities (dyslexia, dyscalculia and/or dysgraphia), and emotional/behavioral difficulties (autism spectrum disorder, anxiety, depression, etc). In addition to assessment, I also provide individual counseling to build skills that foster independence and increase self-confidence. I utilize play therapy strategies to build self-esteem, and address anxiety and other concerns.

I work with individuals and couples who feel trapped in self-defeating patterns of anxiety, despair, and anger. This may be related to a traumatic experience or loss. Others may find that these disruptive patterns have always been there but are now making the choice to live life differently - one that feels more genuine and meaningful. Most feel that they are losing control of their own lives and that they are lacking balance in some very important ways. I specialize in interpersonal therapy to treat problems such as trauma, mood disorders, and chronic relationship difficulties.

Hello and welcome to my page. I bring 20 years of experience supporting children (ages 3-18) and families throughout varying stages of development and changes in life circumstances. While there is a multitude of reasons why families seek support, I may be most helpful to those facing challenges related to anxiety, depression, trauma, grief, adjustment-related stress, chronic illness, and relationship challenges. My education includes earning a BA and BS from UC Berkeley and MA and PsyD from Pepperdine University. I am also a Certified Clinical Trauma Professional (CCTP).

I have extensive experience working with OCD and anxiety disorders. I also deliver therapy to many clients from the LGBTQ+ population and enjoy providing quality care to diverse communities. My foundation is in cognitive behavioral therapy, meaning that I believe the way we think about ourselves, and the world has a significant impact on our lives.

I also come from a Christian perspective, although I am open to working with people from all backgrounds. I have been formerly trained in trauma-informed practices and I am a Certified WRAP Facilitator.
