All of us at some point in our lives struggle. Maybe you feel anxious, depressed, ashamed, afraid, etc. Whether you are currently feeling stuck or simply want to improve the way you cope, I am here to help. We can work together to improve your emotional health and mental well-being.

I believe in the power of integration- that ALL parts of you deserve love and compassion. Together, we will address feelings, needs, beliefs, and the body's own wisdom, while also seeing issues in the context of the systems in which you exist. I work best with those wanting to be challenged through outside insight, and who want to learn how to feel and process their emotions. I do my best to help clients experience safety in the therapeutic relationship to begin to access their whole selves. I love being a therapist, and I love the work I do! It is a deep honor to build relationships of healing with my clients.

Making the decision to begin therapy can oftentimes feel like an overwhelming task. Navigating this process in a world full of endless google searches and profile options; it can make seeking out identity affirming care an arduous and stressful process. I will honor your intersecting identities and the influence they have on how you understand yourself and navigate the world.

You deserve to feel seen. Many of the people I have worked with have experienced pain or the weight of high expectations from themselves and others around them. Witnessing others find their authentic selves and overcome challenges has been an absolute privilege. I believe in the power of radical empathy: I am honored to hold space for you as you work through things that feel heavy, cheer you on when it begins to feel easy again, and walk with you for all the moments in between.

From my own personal journey, I have a passion for working with those confronting uncertainties around their sense of identity and how they express themselves. These uncertainties may be from issues related to gender identity and sexuality, difficulties with body image, or feeling lost in the transitional stages of life. I deeply value understanding the unique background of every individual and how the intersectionality of various identities impacts the equally unique nature of everyone's lived experiences. I believe this understanding is the key to developing an effective approach to finding and living as our most authentic selves.

I am a licensed clinical psychologist with robust experience working in community, residential and medical settings. I work predominately from a relational model that utilizes an intersectional feminist lens to situate people’s lived experiences. People can have multiple identities and belief systems that deserve recognition. Leveraging these nuances can empower patients to utilize coping strategies and frameworks that serve to better sustain their wellbeing. Whether it is seeking out specific solutions or making meaning of an event, I strive to work collaboratively alongside patients in their healing journey

Pronouns: he/they. I have master's degrees from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign and Northern Illinois University, where I studied counseling and education. I hold the credentials of Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor (LCPC) and Professional Educator License (PEL) in Illinois. I am also a National Certified Counselor (NCC) by the National Board for Certified Counselors. I have helped people with their personal growth, mental health, and wellness in inpatient, outpatient, and educational settings.

Lucien Loveless is a Licensed Social Worker in Illinois who has been practicing since 2002. They have a BA in Psychology from University of California at Santa Cruz and an MA in Clinical Social Work from Crown Family School of Social Work, Social Policy, and Practice at University of Chicago. At their core Lucien is a trauma-informed and client-centered therapist, focusing on what tools and methods are going to be most helpful to each person in their individual therapeutic journey.

We work from a relational and cultural lense because the people you engage with on a daily basis affect the lense through which you view your world. Those lenses can diminish your ability to cope and form new, stable, and healthy connections, continuing to utilize unhealthy means of solving your dilemmas. The goal of therapy is to guide you in using your innate abilities to develop healthier lenses to view the world and healthy coping mechanisms. I believe in taking a warm, nonjudgmental, collaborative approach to therapy; I truly believe that you are the expert of your experience and I am here as a coach to help support you in reaching your goals. I approach therapy as both an art and a science; the art of human connection and the science of evidenced-based therapies such as CBT, DBT and ACT. I am also a social worker at heart and like to bring in an understanding of our society to help people of color, LGBTQIA+ folks and other marginalized communities feel empowered to navigate and cope with the impact of these systems of today's world.

I believe that even the littlest of moments can be deeply meaningful, that mistakes are sometimes the best way to learn, and that we have the power to create our own destinies. It is my belief that change happens at the level of movement, making therapy an active, conscious process. As a therapist, I view my role as that of a co-pilot. Together, we will navigate your therapeutic journey in a way that is empowering and right for you. I specialize in school-aged children/teens, emotional and behavioral disorders, LGBTQ youth, ADHD, and autism spectrum disorder.

Steph Key is a Licensed Master Social Worker in Illinois who has been practicing since 2022. Steph's approach is person centered with an emphasis on mindfulness, play, and community care from a trauma informed perspective. They utilize CBT, narrative, mindfulness, DBT, and play therapy. Steph is currently working on developing a combination of play and narrative therapeutic models for adults through creativity and creative writing. They firmly believe that clients are the experts, and they are students on a journey together.

Starting therapy can feel scary and intimidating. You are looking for someone to share your thoughts, feelings, and experiences with that will not judge you. I am here to help make that process easier. You deserve to have a space that is safe and supportive with a therapist that you know will fully accept you. I want to work with you to create a space infused with empathy, unconditional acceptance, and genuineness. You are welcome to show up just as you are and that is more than enough.

Doing the work it takes to find the right therapist when your mind and heart are struggling and in need of that help takes an enormous amount of strength and hope. As a highly experienced clinical social worker, my goal is to bring my wide-range of experience with therapeutic modalities and diverse populations to capitalize on your strengths and hope. I work from a humanistic, trauma-informed and strengths-based perspective. While I have experience ranging from counseling people living with varying degrees of mental illness, to refugees from conflict zones, and survivors of Queer hate motivated violence.

Whether you are beginning, re-starting or continuing therapy, I recognize that this process requires both vulnerability and willingness to dig deep into concerns that can sometimes feel debilitating. Everyone deserves to work with a therapist who will meet you exactly where you are at; that will normalize your concerns and worries rather than meet them with judgment and an “alarmist” perspective. I will remind you that you, and only you, are the expert of your experiences. My role is that of a catalyst; for you to learn how to advocate for your own autonomy with independence and connect to your personal truth with authenticity.

Alex Cichy is a Licensed Professional Counselor in Illinois. As a clinician, Alex offers a safe, welcoming, and supportive environment to a diverse set of clients. As a member of the LGBTQIA+ community, it is highly important to Alex that all individuals feel safe to partake in their own personal treatment while being challenged in a positive manner. Outside of work, Alex enjoys spending time with xer cats, LGBTQIA+ events, listening to music/concerts, and painting.
