I am a trained EMDR therapist focusing on the treatment of trauma and its common co-occurring disorders such as substance abuse and personality disorders. While Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing was initially developed for the treatment of Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD), it is still widely used to treat other common mental health issues such as: anxiety disorders, mood disorders, childhood abuse or neglect, intimate partner violence, sexual assault, panic disorders, substance abuse disorders.

We sometimes need a formal support to help us work through issues and guide us into our true authentic self. With more than 15 years in the social work field, I have been able to collaborate with many individuals (kids, teens and adults) to help them heal and identify solutions for life's many challenges. I have a wide range of skills that include, but are not limited to, improving coping skills, stress management, relationship enhancement and managing moods. Ellie Mental Health Avon is a new mental health clinic who is on a mission to break the stigma of mental health. We have 6 full time therapists who have immediate availability for those individuals aged 6 and up. We are passionate about helping all people! I have 35 years of experience working within the community mental health arena provided me with a strong foundation and opportunity to work with a variety of client populations which includes outpatient therapy, alcohol and drug addictions treatment, gambling addiction, inpatient psych, and inpatient medical stabilization for alcohol/opiate detoxification.
