No one schedules therapy for grins. Often people come in feeling so uncomfortable that they are ready to put in some hard and sometimes humbling efforts to make changes to how they think, feel and behave. I hope to provide education and guidance for those ready for change but don't know exactly how to. Change is a long and arduous process of self reflection, and not a quick fix or 10 easy steps. Taking on this challenge can be a life changing decision, so it is important to choose your provider carefully.
I offer EMDR and CBT, two of the best evidence based practices available. I also offer sex therapy to individuals and couples. I approach my clients in a very informal and approachable manner. I attempt to handle very serious conversations with some levity in order to make this more palatable for clients.
I love talking to people and it is a great joy when my clients leave a session with more than they came in with. I hope to offer a relaxed and casual environment so that our conversation can feel more natural and allow the client to accept feedback without feeling attacked or judged.
