I use an integrative approach to treatment, and draw from contemporary relational, feminist, trauma-informed and body-centric lenses.
I am a curious and passionate trauma practitioner and believe that, first and foremost, the building of strong, collaborative and reverent relationships is central to any healing and transformational work. I work to honor and welcome all parts of individuals, families and groups in order to understand stories of adaptation, survival, coping and thriving. As a body- and nervous system-informed practitioner, my approach integrates various modalities and frameworks. My specializations are in working with the complex manifestations of traumatic stress, attachment trauma, intergenerational trauma, and dissociation.

I consider my style to be person-centered, holistic, and influenced by feminist theory.
How do you envision your path towards greater self-awareness and fulfillment unfolding? Is it through the exploration of past experiences and their impact on your present? Maybe it’s through the cultivation of self-compassion and self-acceptance. Or perhaps, you envision a path that includes setting and working towards achievable goals. As a therapist, I find fulfillment in working with a diverse array of clients, including those dealing with neurodivergence, anxiety, trauma, couples work, depression, low self-esteem, emotional dysregulation, and general life transitions.

Hello and welcome! Reaching out for support and connection while we're hurting can be so challenging, I’m glad you’re here. We all deserve a safe and affirming space to tell our story and reconnect with our authentic self. My therapeutic approach is non-pathologizing, trauma-informed, and social-justice based, and I draw from narrative, feminist, existential, and person-centered therapies. I believe therapy is collaborative and I rely on curiosity and compassion as necessary tools in the therapeutic process.

You deserve to have space to explore different parts of who you are- without shame and stigma. Together, we can cultivate tools that are the best fit for you and your relationships. In my practice, I take a compassionate yet direct, non-judgmental approach. Overall, I hope to help you explore your relationship dynamics, patterns of behavior, and emotions to help you work through the places you feel "stuck". I use somatic psychotherapy, internal family systems, and work from a feminist, intersectional lens.

I offer EMDR therapy as well as many other approaches, including attachment-focused work, parts work, and feminist theory.
I believe that a strong therapeutic relationship between therapist and client is one of the most important factors in achieving change. I am a genuine, empathetic person that will hold the space needed for you to process and to determine where you want to go in your healing journey. I believe our past influences our present, but it does not define who we are or determine our future!

Using feminist therapy and positive psychology modalities, I guide clients to challenge norms, embrace authenticity, and foster well-being.
My ideal client grapples with societal norms, especially around gender and sexuality. They may feel torn between societal expectations and their true selves. Seeking a safe space to explore and redefine their narrative, their goal is authenticity and navigating relationship complexities. They're drawn to a therapeutic space rooted in empowerment, social justice, and positive psychology, aiming for a transformative journey to question societal constructs and embrace a fulfilling life.

As a queer, neurodiverse, Mestizo, Irish, and eastern european person who's rooting in ancestral healing – I practice person centered somatic and mindfulness modalities through a Black & Indigenous feminist lens.
You may be seeking to know who you are, your roots, belonging, and growing in ways that honor your essence because you are a being of complex wonder. Know that you can be medicine to this planet. You may be neurodivergent, unmasking and navigating relationships and oppressive systems. You may experience anxiety/depression/painful emotions/feel overwhelm/feel numb and are seeking clarity, relief, and vitality. Know that what you sense is part of what makes you human. You may consider yourself spiritual, love nature, have religious trauma, feel grief, and seek tenderness and wonder how to reimagine for you and future generations.

I use an integrative approach to psychotherapy that incorporates person-centered therapy, trauma-informed care, psychoeducation, feminist therapy, and EMDR to help adults achieve better mental health.
I am a LGBTQ+ therapist who loves working with individual adults who are curious about themselves and who are ready to look at their past, including any trauma that has impacted their life. I am trained in EMDR which is a powerful treatment modality that helps process traumatic or distressing events and memories. I use assessments that are validated to ensure I understand what you are experiencing. As we work together, I will ask about what is working best for you and will tailor my approach as needed. Telehealth/video sessions only at this time.

I work from a Health at Every Size (HAES) aligned, Trauma-Informed, Intersectional Feminist and Anti-Oppressive framework.
Life throws so many curve balls at us leading to uncertainty, pain, and hardship. The world gives us so many messages telling us that we are not worthy, we must take up less space, or we are not deserving of having our needs met. When you get to the point where you're ready to face it all and start healing, I'm here for you.

Through working on empowerment, from a feminist and queer theory lens, I help the client learn that they are in charge of their lives outside of therapy.
I believe people possess the strength and ability to move towards growth. I believe everyone has potential - potential to be their best self, potential for power, strength, and resiliency. Sometimes life struggles get in the way of allowing full potential to develop. There often comes a time when an added layer of support allows us to thrive and shine. This is where I can help. I specialize in women's mental health (child-free by choice, career advancement & difficulties, relational dynamics, high-power positions, personal growth focus), and LGBTQ+, transgender, and non-binary focused care, including surgery support letters.

Psychotherapy can provide an invaluable space to explore our fears and suffering with a compassionate witness. Over time, we are able to befriend aspects of ourselves that we have suppressed and begin to recognize that our symptoms are coping skills we have used to survive. I seek to provide gentle guidance to clients to help them move into discomfort, expand their insight, and discover previously untapped strength and resources, while also respecting each person’s unique process and pacing. I have a holistic approach, taking into consideration the mind, body, and spirit as integral to healing.

“Therapy to help authentic souls navigate the wilds of life.” My most crucial long-term relationship has been with the great outdoors; my first therapist was Mother Nature. I have used my time in this mighty space to align the things that make my heartbeat: people, nature, and the power of self-development. The outdoors is a powerful resource that helps us feel grounded and at peace, immersed in all Mother Nature offers. My approach is whole-bodied, holistic, mindful, bodily, and expansive. My goal for people is to feel good in their skin and reach their true SELF. I offer indoor, virtual, and outdoor therapy.

I won’t do anything that I think I should do. Do you also have mountains of shoulds? How exhausting and overwhelming it is to never measure up to our own or others’ expectations. Let me help you find your pathway out of this continual self haranguing and self sabotaging. When you find alignment within yourself it will give you clarity on your actual desires, new vitality and empowerment for manifesting your goals. I would love to support you with getting unstuck and renewing your energy. Are you pretty good at understanding others and helping them get along? When you’re with them, though, do you forget your own needs?

Feminist Therapists

How does feminist therapy work?

Feminist therapy sessions are not only personal but often cultural or political in nature, as the approach is based on the belief that people are affected by, and often struggle with, cultural and societal norms and biases, and need to move beyond those external pressures or stressors to tap their own confidence and engage more fully in their own identity. Sessions may therefore include discussions of sexism, diversity, and gender issues and talk of steps toward greater empowerment for patients who believe they have been silenced and seek to raise their voices.

What are examples of feminist therapy techniques?

Along with traditional talk therapy and analysis, a feminist therapist may employ techniques such as role-playing and assertiveness training to help clients build their self-esteem so that they feel they can act freely, and not based on cultural expectations or gender roles dictated by others. A feminist therapist may also engage in bibliotherapy, offering suggested readings on gender identity or social power inequities as they work toward viewing mental-health concerns through a broad cultural lens before focusing on how they affect the individual. Somatic therapy techniques, with an emphasis on body awareness, self-compassion, and mindfulness practices are also often part of feminist therapist practice.

How long does feminist therapy last?

As with most forms of talk therapy, there is no set duration or end point for feminist therapy; people who believe that they are making progress typically continue until they feel they’ve addressed the issues that had been holding them back. It may take some time to become comfortable discussing personal issues, but once a client feels they can do so, they could expect therapy to last for a number of months, typically including at least 12 sessions.

Does feminist therapy work?

As a relatively recent therapeutic technique, there is not yet a body of evidence proving the efficacy of feminist therapy. However, the approach is based on proven core principles of talk therapy, with a particular emphasis on developing a therapeutic relationship based on equality and authentic connection between therapist and client and discovering and building on clients’ personal strengths to help them gain a greater sense of personal power and agency.
