I would bet something has tipped the balance for you from managing your pain, coping with your stresses to "I can’t do this alone.” It’s a scary place to be in, and it says a lot about your character and courage that you’re willing to reach out. I’m in my late 40s, and I’ve scrolled through lists of therapists thinking, “there’s no way I’m going to see a therapist younger than me.” No shade on younger therapists, but I want you to know that I have a lot of lived experience that I bring to the table, and a whole lot of water under the bridge that gives me tons of empathy for the struggles you bring.
