I love working with clients experiencing depression, anxiety, adjusting to life changes, and trauma/PTSD. I work with clients to create goals appropriate for them. My clients sometimes need coping skills, trauma therapy, or an extra ear to process life stressors. My goal is to be nonjudgmental and down to earth to help you in the best way possible. I believe that people in all ages and stages of life can benefit from therapy.

I want to start by saying that I truly hold a solid belief that each and every human deserves to feel happiness, love, excitement, contentment, and ultimately to achieve their dreams, desires, goals, and best-selves! I implement an integrative approach, with a craving to help. Whether that assistance be with a child struggling with ADHD, an individual learning to cope with anxiety/depression, a couple struggling, or an entire family in need, I am devoted to seeking out and destroying the obstacles, strongholds, cognitive distortions, or whatever the “problem” is that is impeding their ability to live happy, healthy, fulfilled lives.

As a Latina woman in Northwest Arkansas I have often struggled with identity. Constantly navigating between cultures can be detrimental to our self identity. This "otherness" often leads to anxiety and depression that seems inescapable. Learning to own all parts of ones self is crucial to mental wellbeing and to understanding the self. Or maybe you struggle with other issues like anxiety, depression, or ADHD (to name a few) and you don't feel like you have a community who understands how difficult that can be on your mental health.

Conway Counseling & Wellness Center is a group private practice of practitioners with specialties in mental health and wellness including psychiatry. Our treatment is holistic and incorporates traditional counseling with wellness services such as art therapy, yoga therapy, hypnotherapy, mindfulness, and massage. A client with anxiety could benefit from individual counseling, family therapy, yoga, and massage. Another client working to minimize an addiction could receive individual and group counseling, yoga for 12 step recovery, and hypnotherapy. Life sometimes creates some unexpected turns that we have difficulty managing. I'm here to help people manage and cope with those turns, to provide support and help so that a client and their family can get back to a place of peace.

I enjoy working with a wide range of populations, including children, adolescents, adults, and families. I have a particular passion for working with young people transitioning from adolescence into college through their emergence into young adulthood. I also find great reward in working with clients who have complex backgrounds with long histories of chronic psychological distress and relationship problems.

It takes courage to ask for help. As your therapist I will help you become comfortable with increasing your self awareness and learning what you can do to have a more fulfilling life. We will work together to develop plan to work on what you decide is the issue. You will learn to have better connection with yourself and others. I have been helping people for over 10 years and have worked in a variety of settings which equips me to be able to help with a variety of issues such as anxiety, depression, mood disorders, PTSD, trauma, grief, addiction issues and sexually maladaptive behaviors.

I enjoy working with people of any age, sex, race, cultural, religious, gender identity, and socioeconomic background who are committed to improving their lives and are willing to engage in the process of change. I have much experience in helping people make lifestyle changes that involve not just leaving the problem behaviors and feelings behind, but also understanding triggers, being aware of their presence, changing their thinking, and eventually their choices.
