I'm a proud founding member of the Bentonville Counseling Collective, a one-of-a-kind counseling practice in NWA. We are individual counselors working together to provide excellent, affordable, and tailored therapy for a vast array of clients. For the past several years we have worked with individuals, couples, and families on many different issues including depression, anxiety, infidelity, trauma, grief, LGBTQ issues, and many others. Change is an inevitable part of life, it is also something we often fear and resist. As your therapist I assist you in activating your motivation and developing skills to guide you through the process. Whether your motivation is coming from a personal or relationship crisis, a long term difficulty, or simply the desire to create a better, happier future - I use therapy as a guided exploration toward solutions and the development of skills necessary for creating change. Learning WHAT, and HOW to change is at the core of my training, experience and my approach to therapy with clients.

I am a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist and Licensed Professional Counselor specializing in couples therapy. I have worked as a therapist in a 90-Day Residential Treatment Center, Community Mental Health, and in Private Practice. I have led therapy intensives, group therapy, taught courses at the university level, and managed a therapeutic high and low ropes course.

I believe there is hope in all circumstances and healing to be found. Whatever brings you to therapy, you can expect that I will provide you with compassion, respect and understanding as we journey together. I believe that we all have the ability to change and make better choices but sometimes that is difficult to accomplish on our own. I encourage and challenge my clients to be their best selves and to experience life to the fullest. With a supportive, non-judgmental approach, we will work together toward growth, validation and self-discovery.

One of the most powerful forces on earth comes from our relationships. Relationships provide a way for us to connect with others physically, emotionally, and spiritually. When our relationships suffer, we are often deprived of the powerful force of human connection. Finding our way back to relationships and the connection they provide may seem difficult. Counseling provides a therapeutic relationship of human connection to build a bridge back to the relationships that are most meaningful for us. Stepping into something new like counseling when our relationships are broken can feel overwhelming.

Sometimes, in our lives we hold onto unresolved issues from the past, which can resurface in many different forms. Anxiety, sadness, depression, and anger usually have "roots" digging deep into our pasts. Choosing to suppress or push disturbing feelings aside may work for a period of time, but will not resolve the underlying issue. As a result, ineffective, and often destructive coping patterns develop. Talking with me can break this pattern and lead to a more fulfilling life.

I primarily work with adolescent males (i.e., ages 13-26), but I also have experience working with young adults who are single or married. I also have experience providing pre-marital through Prepare/Enrich for couples that are considering marriage. My work with clients addresses a range of issues, including family conflict, addiction, depression, anxiety, and other issues. I am trained to provide EMDR and Safe & Sound Protocol (SSP) to my clients in addition to bringing my training as a Certified Trauma Therapist (CTT-Intern) and a Sex Addiction Therapist (ASAT)to bear on these issues.
