I offer an individually tailored approach that integrates techniques consistent with Somatic Psychotherapy including: Dance/Movement Therapy, Polyvagal Informed Therapy, AEDP, Internal Family Systems and Psychedelic Assisted Therapy.
It's hard to ask for help, and talking can only get us so far. Our bodies carry memories, feelings, and experiences that don't always make sense or that we are unable to express through words. Stress and overwhelm is literally stored in the body in the form of pain, tension, numbness, and dissociation. By giving our body a voice we can reshape our nervous system through self awareness and skill building for greater ease in connection with ourselves and others.

Feeling stuck, alone, and wondering if you will ever feel good enough? Lately you find that you are comparing yourself to others all the time and you feel disconnected from the accomplished, empathetic, and heart driven woman that others see you as. You notice patterns of the past continue to come back to haunt you and you're exhausted trying to break free from the cycle of self-doubt and anxiety that holds you hostage. Life feels especially heavy lately, and it’s getting hard to hold it all together. It’s common to struggle with self-confidence and not seeing the true light you have to offer, but it doesn’t have to be this way.

Entering psychotherapy may be one of the hardest and best things you will ever do. It is an act of courage and hope, and contains the implicit belief that you have the power to change your life. It requires a trusting, connected relationship with someone who will understand and not judge. We will figure out together what is blocking you from reaching your potential, and help you get closer to living the vital, rich, fulfilling life you were meant to lead.

A strong, secure relationship can bring enormous joy to your life, and a struggling relationship can bring tremendous pain, fear, and despair. If your current relationship is in trouble because of conflict, lack of connection, or problems you can't fix on your own, I can help. I work deeply with couples so that they understand their own attachment styles and emotional patterns and those of their partner. Couples gain confidence in their connection so that they can leave behind patterns of emotional reactivity and withdrawal/shutdown, and share their needs, fears and feelings with confidence.

Come check out my Unbreakable Inc. website, there's a ton of resources and other great stuff there! I enjoy working with people who have the insight to know they need help, the strength to seek it, the courage to look inward, and the discipline to put in place the causes for their lives to change. At the same time, therapy isn't just about the alleviation of suffering, it's also about the full realization of human potential, which is far greater than most people can imagine.

You’ve always been the one who holds it all together – strong, calm, capable. But inside, there’s a heaviness you can’t shake. Maybe it’s the loss you never fully grieved, or the trauma you’ve tried to bury. Over time, it’s become harder to ignore – the anxiety, the loneliness, the sense of disconnect from those you love. You put on a brave face, but deep down, you feel stuck and unsure of how to move forward. You long for relief, for healing, to feel whole again. Together, we can explore those buried emotions, heal the wounds, and find your way back to yourself.

I am passionate about walking beside my clients, undoing their aloneness, and have a strong sense of justice, advocating with passion for my clients. I believe our relational experiences significantly impact our health and wellbeing, including the therapeutic relationship. When we feel less alone in our experiences of pain and distress, we can more easily connect to ourselves and others in a way that supports individual and collective health. Within a safe space, and through an attuned relationship with ourselves and others, we all have the power to tune into our instinct towards healing.

My work with clients supports their emotional and relational well-being by exploring what gets in their way from living the way they desire. I weave extensive experience in working with complex trauma with systems work - exploring the ways in which the context we are surrounded by, deeply impacts our ability to live an embodied life. My clients often come to me because they have been to therapy before and are looking for a direct approach that supports them in moving out of pure awareness, and into embodied living. Embracing the present moment while moving towards change.

I'm trained in Accelerated Experiential Dynamic Psychotherapy ( AEDP), Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing Therapy (EMDR) and various attachment and relationally-based therapies to holistically support your healing and growth.
In my work as a therapist and through my own life experiences, I’ve found that so much of our pain as humans stems from a deep sense of disconnection, both from ourselves and from each other. I know it can feel like you’re in this alone- I’ve been there, and I’m here to tell you that you don’t have to be. Therapy can provide an incredible space to heal and grow through safe & affirming connection with someone else. I’m honored to hold this space for clients and I believe you deserve support.

I’m trained in Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT) for couples and Accelerated Experiential Dynamic Psychotherapy ( AEDP) for individuals.
Finding a therapist can feel daunting—it's such an important choice! That's why I do my best to create an experience for my clients that is warm, welcoming, authentic, and trusting. Part of why I decided to become a therapist is because of how important I believe our relationships are to our well-being. While relationships can be sources of immense distress, pain, confusion, and loneliness, I also believe that when they are healthy and safe, they have the ability to soothe, comfort, and create powerful change.

I am EMDR trained, and work from a IFS, AEDP and Somatic Experiencing lens.
In the process of learning to love yourself, your body, and others there is no such thing as setbacks. What we think is a setback is a growing point, a learning point to lead us further in our relationship with ourselves and others. I would love to work with you navigating those areas of growth, while also seeing the strengths you already possess. It takes such courage to start looking for help. I will seek to empower you in this process and allow for healing and change.

I also offer powerful talk and somatic-based therapy, including AEDP.
Therapists need a safe space for healing too! You work hard to be effective and compassionate with your clients, and you know that your work is best when you take care of your own emotional needs. You may be facing burnout, your own trauma or life challenges or just the realization that “it’s time” to return to therapy. As therapists, it's our unique challenge to let ourselves relax and trust someone to take care of us in effective ways. You'll immediately feel supported in a non-judgmental and highly confidential space. I offer a safe place for healing with the therapist in mind.

Clients who participate in therapy consistently with Gottman, AEDP and IFS evidence-based treatments, experience increase in psychological wellness, self-compassion, better psychological functioning, rewarding relationships, an increase emotional awareness and your overall connection to self and others.
Trauma blocks love and connection, love heals trauma and restores connection with ourselves and others, healing from trauma creates opportunities to experience the goodness inherent in all of us. Counseling is a great way to access inner resources to permanently heal trauma and suffering we all carry from past and current relationships. As a therapist and scholar with 20+ years of experience, I am Gottman Level III certified, AEDP Level II certified and IFS Level I certified therapist, I understand we cannot change the past, however I firmly believe we can permanently heal from it.

Using advanced training in AEDP, I work with you to better understand why you feel this way, and help release difficult emotions- finding emotional relief, connectedness, and wellbeing.
Are you hoping to improve your relationship? Are you worried you may be "too much" for your partner? Maybe you want to be a better partner but don't know how to? I am trained in PACT Therapy (Psychobiological Approach to Couple's Therapy), and Gottman Therapy, two specialized approaches to couples therapy. I have found that integrating these two styles of therapy quickly gives couples insight to the causes of their conflict or disconnection, and tangible ways to fix it. This allows each partner to understand themselves and their partner, improving connectedness and relationship satisfaction and decreasing conflict intensity.

I am an AEDP and Emotionally-Focused therapist working with individual adults on transforming challenges with mood, relationships and trauma into flourishing. While we will have specific goals for therapy, ultimately my hope is that you feel more alive, authentic, connected, resilient and self-accepting. We start by building a safe and trusting environment within which vulnerabilities, difficult experiences and unhelpful patterns can emerge and new experiments in thinking, feeling and relating can be attempted. This takes courage, and it can feel risky to speak the truth, to embrace disowned feelings, even just to receive support.

AEDP Therapists

Who is AEDP therapy for?

Accelerated Experiential Dynamic Psychotherapy (AEDP) is for adults who have experienced emotional pain in the past that, because it has not been adequately addressed and processed, interferes with current functioning. The problems might manifest in a number of different ways, from excessive anger to relationship difficulties to PTSD to eating disorders, poor self-esteem, and depression. They may also be accompanied by physiological symptoms. AEDP helps people accept and digest challenging emotional experiences.

Why do people need AEDP?

People need AEDP as a way to manage distressing emotions—including anger, shame, and guilt—that in some way hamper the ability to function and form satisfying relationships in the present. The therapist-client relationship is believed to provide corrective emotional and relational experiences that facilitate positive changes in brain function, forge pathways for processing traumatic experiences, and allow resolution of emotional pain.

What happens in AEDP therapy?

Once individuals have established a strong bond with the AEDP therapist and the therapist has established a safe and secure environment, clients are encouraged to explore their most painful emotional experiences. They may be asked to pay attention to disquieting body sensations as well as to psychological discomfort. Individuals learn how to process emotions, rather than avoid them. Through the strength of the therapist-client bond, each session is intended to provide a powerful positive experience for individuals, enabling growth.

What problems does AEDP treat?

AEDP is intended to treat the unprocessed emotional pain caused by earlier distressing experiences, which commonly includes behavioral avoidance of current situations and experiences for fear that they will reactivate painful feelings. Emotional pain and avoidant behavior play a role in a wide array of mental health conditions, which is why AEDP is applied to the treatment of a range of disorders including depression, anxiety, PTSD, relationship difficulties, and eating disorders.
