I work with couples and individuals in distressed relationships. While relationships can be immensely painful, confusing, and lonely, they can also soothe, comfort, and create powerful change when they're healthy and safe. Relationships are so important to our well-being! I have 7+ years of training and experience in Emotionally-Focused Therapy (EFT) for couples and Accelerated Experiential Dynamic Psychotherapy (AEDP) for individuals.
EFT is considered the clinical gold standard of couple therapy. It gets straight to the heart of what keeps couples unsatisfied and disconnected. I help couples map out their relational turmoil and pain in terms of a negative cycle. Once enough safety is established, we have deepened emotional conversations to help re-bond the couple.
AEDP helps us change our relationship to our own emotions. I help you get clear on why you may struggle with closeness, intimacy, and feeling things fully. Together, we enter into painful, stagnant, confusing emotions and experiences (including traumatic ones), and come out the other end with clarity, relief, and self-compassion.
