While relationships can be immensely painful, confusing, and lonely, they can also soothe, comfort, and create powerful change when they're healthy and safe. I have 8+ years of training and experience in Emotionally-Focused Therapy (EFT) for couples and Accelerated Experiential Dynamic Psychotherapy (AEDP) for individuals.
EFT is considered the clinical gold standard of couple therapy. It gets straight to the heart of what keeps couples unsatisfied and disconnected. I help couples map out their relational turmoil and pain in terms of their negative cycle. Once enough safety is established, we have deepened emotional conversations to help the couple re-bond.
AEDP changes our relationship to ourselves and our emotions. We get clear on why you feel emotionally numb (dealing but not feeling) and/or emotionally flooded (feeling but reeling). We enter into your emotional world and experiences, including traumatic ones, and come out the other end with clarity, relief, security, and self-compassion.
