AEDP Therapists in Boulder, CO
I find therapy most potent, important, and meaningful when there is a mix of: compassion, non-judgment, curiosity, and choicefulness.
From my training in Somatic Counseling/Body Psychotherapy, I make use of my own body, and body-based (somatic-) tracking, applied moment-to-moment with clients. Sometimes this may look like noticing the breath, or bringing attention to feelings & sensations, when something—that may have been stowed psychically out-of-sight yet not out-of-reach—shifts.
There are many further toolboxes of somatic (and other!) keys that expand the range, and richness, of what therapy together—beyond talk—can include.

You’re holding it together on the outside, but something inside feels fractured. Maybe you’ve experienced betrayal, infidelity, addiction, spiritual abuse, or trauma you haven’t fully named. You want relief, but not a quick fix. You want real healing—something deeper, something that lasts. You want to understand why specific patterns repeat, how to regain trust in yourself, and how to build relationships that feel safe, honest, and connected. You're ready for a therapist who won’t flinch at complexity and can meet you where you truly are.

I'm trained in PACT (Psychobiological Approach to Couple Therapy) and AEDP ( Accelerated Experiential Dynamic Psychotherapy) — two of the most rigorous attachment-based frameworks available.
You're exhausted from the same fights. You dread another conflict, walking on eggshells, feeling alone even when you're together. You've tried to fix things — maybe even tried therapy before — but nothing seems to stick. You feel misunderstood, caught in patterns you can't break, wondering if something is fundamentally wrong with you or your relationship. There isn't. These patterns have roots — in attachment history, nervous system responses, and wounds that long predate this relationship. That's exactly what we work with.

I’m smart, quirky, and introverted. And a deep feeler. I’ll notice things about you that most people don’t and I’ll point at things that most people won’t. I’ll meet you with a depth of presence that’s pretty rare in this world, and I’ll create lots of space for what’s true for you to emerge. I love models and frames and theories and will share bits and pieces with you that might help you see outside of the cages you feel stuck in. Modalities I draw from the most include Internal Family Systems, ACT, and Psychoanalytic thought.

My work is grounded in a body–mind approach and is deeply influenced by AEDP.
I am an LCSW providing experiential, attachment-focused therapy via Zoom for adults navigating anxiety, depression, trauma, life transitions, and relationship challenges. I believe that symptoms such as anxiety and depression are often protective responses to overwhelming experiences. Together, we create a safe, compassionate space where you can slow down, tune into your inner experience, and gently process emotions that may have felt too much to face alone. By attending to both emotional experience and the wisdom of the body, we help the nervous system move toward greater calm, clarity, and connection.

I love helping Highly Sensitive People (HSPs) and others with neurodiverse brains understand themselves in light of their sensitivity, heal from past trauma, and gain the self-trust to soar.

I primarily use an experiential and somatic therapy ( AEDP) which focuses on the therapeutic relationship as a grounding and regulating tool to help clients turn towards and move through difficult memories and feelings.
You're in a pattern with relationships, food, or yourself that you want to shake but keeps returning. Or you're feeling deep, ongoing anxiety that hallmarks a need for more support.
And you want to feel good in your own skin. You don't want to feel afraid all the time of what you've done wrong. You want a way out because you have had enough, but aren't sure the best way forward.

A strong, secure relationship can bring enormous joy to your life, and a struggling relationship can bring tremendous pain, fear, and despair. If your current relationship is in trouble because of conflict, lack of connection, or problems you can't fix on your own, I can help. I work deeply with couples so that they understand their own attachment styles and emotional patterns and those of their partner. Couples gain confidence in their connection so that they can leave behind patterns of emotional reactivity and withdrawal/shutdown, and share their needs, fears and feelings with confidence.

AEDP Therapists
Who is AEDP therapy for?
Accelerated Experiential Dynamic Psychotherapy (AEDP) is for adults who have experienced emotional pain in the past that, because it has not been adequately addressed and processed, interferes with current functioning. The problems might manifest in a number of different ways, from excessive anger to relationship difficulties to PTSD to eating disorders, poor self-esteem, and depression. They may also be accompanied by physiological symptoms. AEDP helps people accept and digest challenging emotional experiences.
Why do people need AEDP?
People need AEDP as a way to manage distressing emotions—including anger, shame, and guilt—that in some way hamper the ability to function and form satisfying relationships in the present. The therapist-client relationship is believed to provide corrective emotional and relational experiences that facilitate positive changes in brain function, forge pathways for processing traumatic experiences, and allow resolution of emotional pain.
What happens in AEDP therapy?
Once individuals have established a strong bond with the AEDP therapist and the therapist has established a safe and secure environment, clients are encouraged to explore their most painful emotional experiences. They may be asked to pay attention to disquieting body sensations as well as to psychological discomfort. Individuals learn how to process emotions, rather than avoid them. Through the strength of the therapist-client bond, each session is intended to provide a powerful positive experience for individuals, enabling growth.
What problems does AEDP treat?
AEDP is intended to treat the unprocessed emotional pain caused by earlier distressing experiences, which commonly includes behavioral avoidance of current situations and experiences for fear that they will reactivate painful feelings. Emotional pain and avoidant behavior play a role in a wide array of mental health conditions, which is why AEDP is applied to the treatment of a range of disorders including depression, anxiety, PTSD, relationship difficulties, and eating disorders.
