I also offer my services to businesses from schools to theater related artists needing consultation on pediatric/adolescent development, mental health, and other topics.

I am a licensed professional counselor, national board certified counselor, EMDRIA certified therapist, & a consultant-in-training with EMDRIA. I have specialized training in evidence-based treatments, such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Acceptance & Commitment Therapy, & Eye Movement Desensitization & Reprocessing (EMDR). I am also trained in recent trauma protocols: R-TEP/RISC & the Flash Technique, which combined with EMDR allows for the rapid & painless resolution of traumatic memories. EMDR, R-TEP/RISC & Flash are also successful in treating anxiety, depression, avoidance, phobias, & panic.

We are a private group mental health practice providing evaluation and treatment to adults, adolescents and children. Jonathan Egge is a Navy veteran and Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) with 13 years of experience in therapy with veterans while working at the Dept. of Veterans Affairs. He works with a wide variety of clients: People suffering or struggling in their lives with their feelings, thoughts, and actions, resulting from their life experiences. People who have struggled to find help, support, and acceptance from family, friends, and even service providers. People, who want to live a normal life, achieve in life, see life through a different lens, and grow as a person.

I am not able to accept any new patients at this time. I work with teens, adults, and seniors. I have training and/or significant experience in diagnosing and treating most issues and disorders with the exception of drug/alcohol abuse. I treat people with 'life issues', the psychological version of the flu and people with more serious or complicated problems such as severe OCD, bi polar, eating disorders, and trauma--psychological version of pneumonia....and everything in between. My goal is to help people identify their problem, decide upon treatment goal(s), decide treatment options, and work together to achieve their goals.

During my internship at a domestic violence shelter, I gained valuable experience providing support to those who have been impacted by verbal, emotional, physical and sexual abuse that can occur in unhealthy relationships. I also have experience serving a varied population including those who are experiencing chronic stress, anxiety and depression, as well as those who are having difficulty adjusting to the ongoing challenges and struggles that life can bring. My experience with Nonviolent Communication provides a solid foundation for building healthy relationships and broadening communication and conflict resolution skills.

My interventions and assessment skills focus on building healing connections in order to gain relief from various mental health disorders. Specific disorders include, but are not limited to depression, anxiety, eating disorders, and relationship issues. I work from an interpersonal and relational theoretical framework and believe insight into our core relationships can impact current psychological road blocks. I am a post-doctoral clinician specializing in treating adolescents and adults. I received my undergraduate degree from DeSales University and earned my doctorate in Counseling Psychology from the College of Saint Elizabeth. I have experience working with individuals who are struggling with depression, anxiety, OCD, stress-related concerns, behavioral issues, relationship problems, and major life transitions. My treatment approach consists of a combination of effective practices, including humanistic, cognitive-behavioral, psychodynamic, and mindfulness-based therapies. It is my top priority to meet each individual where they are in their process, to consider their unique set of life circumstances, and to tailor the treatment accordingly.
