I am an ABPN Board Certified Psychiatrist. I specialize in the treatment of mood, anxiety, trauma, and relational problems. Care is tailored to the individual and is based on evaluation and integration of biological, psychological, developmental and environmental factors that limit your ability to realize your potential. I provide psychotherapy to help work through difficult experiences and collaborate with you to develop adaptive responses to life circumstances. Medication is prescribed judiciously in the context of your needs.

I see my role as helping people navigate a relationship with the world and themselves that is more joyful and less constrained. Many of my patients have tried a variety of self help strategies or previous therapy with varying degrees of success and disappointment by the time they call me. My approach is to take a step back and try to understand you and your life in more detail and depth in order to help us build a more comprehensive and lasting solution to your troubles.

I can also offer a non-medication based approach to help folks struggling with insomnia.

I feel that medications can provide relief for biological psychiatric conditions, but most of the long term relief comes from working through and reworking unhealthy behavioral patterns. Treating Psychiatric conditions is an art that requires balancing the medical treatments with looking at unconscious maladaptive behaviors. Once patterns are identified, the work we do will lead to change. I take the approach of meeting clients where they are at and working together in a relational model to reprocess and work through trauma.

Alex is a psychiatrist who completed his medical degree at Florida State University and his training at University Hospitals Adult Psychiatry Residency. Throughout his schooling and training he has seen the inadequacy of the current health system and has sought to gain additional knowledge in holistic approaches that address more of the whole individual instead of focusing on parts. He completed a one year program in Psychedelic Therapy and Research through the California Institute of Integral Studies.

David J. Williams, M.D., is a board-certified child, adolescent, and adult psychiatrist in private practice in Denver, CO specializing in talk therapy. Dr. Williams treats patients with chronic work and relationship problems, ADHD, Depression, Generalized Anxiety Disorder, Social Anxiety Disorder, Obsessive Compulsive Disorder, and Panic Disorder. While trained in the use of medications, Dr. Williams also has extensive additional experience and training in providing talk therapy for chronic or recurrent mood and anxiety problems for patients seeking treatment beyond medication management.
