I am an integrative counsellor based in Pinner and Ruislip working with anxiety, relationship difficulties, low self-esteem, trauma, and the impact of past or abusive relationships. Many people come to therapy feeling overwhelmed, stuck, or unseen, carrying things they’ve held inside for a long time. You may be struggling with difficult relationships, motherhood, identity, or life transitions. Therapy offers a space to slow down, feel heard, and reflect at your own pace. You’re very welcome to get in touch to see whether working together feels like the right fit.

You’ve done the thinking. You understand your patterns. And yet—nothing really changes. You find yourself in the same loops: in relationships, in your reactions, in your thinking. I work with adults, couples, and young people who feel stuck in patterns that don’t shift. My approach is active, relational, and focused on real change—not just talking.

Relationships can be difficult, miscommunication & misattunement of emotions can create patterns of behaviour that can lead to a lack of connectiveness & blocks to intimancy. This can trigger a fight or flight response & the cycle continues. In therapy you can learn to communicate your care seeking & care giving needs in a clear way & change the relationship to a more secure & attuned base. You'll learn the skills to listen to each other & navigate the ruptures & repairs that are part of all relationships. I will work to provide a safe & non biased space for you to resolve them together & decide the best way forward.

I am an experienced counsellor and psychotherapist. I believe that the most important part of therapy is that we build a strong and therapeutic relationship together so that you can feel safe to explore your feelings and concerns. We all have times in our life when we need support and it is not always possible to sort things out with the help of family and friends. I would be there to listen and not judge, in a confidential and caring environment. Counselling can feel daunting but can help to empower you to explore and reflect on ways of making changes and moving forward with your life.

Squarepegness often is accompanied by or is masked by depression, anxiety, emotional rigidness. It can lead to work and relationship problems Exploring, recognising and slowly putting into practice what has been uncovered can be enough to move a client from being overloaded leading to meltdown or lack of headspace to an awareness that modifies your feeling of well being.

Every human being is hurt in some way; in many cases this will manifest as depression, anxiety or some other way which gets in the way of personal development and the ability to reach out to his or her potential. Therapy provides a relationship in which clients are able to accept themselves as they are and value themselves as individuals. Every individual has an urge to develop as a whole, finding the tendency to actualize and become a more fully functioning person. It is the joy of a therapist to assist the client in these breakthroughs.I am working as a senior counsellor and supervisor in NHS.

Therapy that meets you where you are, with warmth, curiosity, and respect. I work with individuals, couples, families, and young people who are finding life a bit heavy, whether that’s anxiety, stress, relationship challenges, identity questions, or the sense of being overwhelmed by everyday demands. My approach is calm, collaborative, and centred on helping people feel understood, supported, and able to move at a pace that feels right for them. A core part of my practice is neuroaffirming work and an appreciation for the ways culture, identity, and lived experience shape how we navigate the world.

Our past impacts on our present and it can often be confusing and conflicting in our adult responses to current problems. When we cannot make sense of our own thoughts or responses, when our behaviour troubles us or is repetitive. Within the therapeutic process, control is taken back and the symptomatic behaviour in time can be renegotiated and become less powerful. My training is Psychodynamic but with many years of CPD (continuing professional development) I will adapt my style to what will be most helpful to you and what you bring to the sessions. Psychodynamic therapy involves working with the unconscious.

I support clients with anxiety, trauma and/or chronic pain and illness to live their best life. Anxiety can be debilitating and overwhelming. I work with you to offer new perspective, to resolve issues and find new ways forward. We often 'block' thoughts as a coping strategy, and whilst this can be very useful, it can increase anxiety. If you experience physical symptoms such as headaches, IBS, joint pain or fibromyalgia, your body may be literally holding the weight of your anxiety. We can consider whether a more holistic approach will help you–exploring the connection between your physical symptoms and your emotions.

Learn more about how to find a therapist

Is everyone in the Psychology Today Therapy Directory a licensed therapist?

Counsellors and Psychotherapists listed in the directory are members of the main professional associations, mainly the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP) and the UK Council for Psychotherapy (UKCP). Most Psychologists in the directory are accredited members of the British Psychological Society (BPS) and/or are registered in the Health and Care Professions Council (HPCP).

Providers whose professional membership or primary credential has been verified by Psychology Today are signified by a “Verified” symbol. Given that professional memberships are not a statutory requirement for psychotherapists and counsellors in the UK, certain qualified professionals or organisations may choose not to maintain such memberships despite possessing the necessary qualifications. They may be selectively included without the “Verified” seal.

What’s the difference between a psychologist, a therapist, and a counsellor?

Counsellors, psychotherapists and psychologists can all provide counselling or talking therapy and have credentials and experience that enable them to do so in the UK. Psychologists have earned a degree in psychology and many are members of the British Psychological Society (BPS) and have completed a postgraduate qualification in a specialism. Counsellors and Psychotherapists are not required to have a psychology degree, but to belong to a professional organisation such as the BACP or UKCP, they are required to have completed a training course as well as clinical and supervision hours.

What type of therapy is right for me?

The type of therapy best suited to a particular individual depends on several factors, including their primary reason for seeking therapy, their preferred timeline (some therapy types last for a set number of sessions, while others are open-ended), and their personality and preferences—some may prefer a more structured approach. For many individuals, multiple types of therapy could provide a good fit.

How much does therapy cost?

The cost of therapy depends on a number of variables, including location and the therapist’s experience and training. On average, a therapy session in the UK could be between £30 - £60 when seeing a counsellor and £60 - £150 and up when seeing a clinical psychologist. If you have private insurance, your plan may cover some if not all of your sessions. You should contact your insurance provider to determine if they provide coverage for therapy sessions and to determine what, if any, requirements they might have in order for your sessions to be covered, such as a referral from your GP or medical specialist.

What are more affordable or low cost therapy solutions?

Many therapists offer sliding scale payments, usually on a limited number of slots, which consists in an agreement between the therapist and a client to pay a reduced rate. Therapists who provide such arrangements often consider the client's income or ability to pay, but the extent of the discount is ultimately at the therapist's discretion. Furthermore, while group therapy may have different goals and benefits compared to individual therapy, it can be a more affordable solution to address certain types of issues.

If you are struggling to access therapy due to budget constraints, you could also consider public funded mental health services. The NHS Talking therapies programme offers free of charge counselling for common mental health problems like anxiety and depression. The service is available to anyone registered with a GP, though you do not necessarily need to be referred by your GP and can refer yourself directly to a Talking therapies service. The service will provide different solutions, including group and individual therapy, for a limited number of sessions which are generally up to six.

Is online therapy cheaper than in-person therapy?

Many therapists charge the same amount for online therapy as they do for in-person therapy—though clients may still find this cost-effective if it cuts down on their transportation costs. Health insurance plans often offer equivalent coverage for online and in-person therapy; indeed, in many places, they are legally required to do so. Text-based or on-demand therapy apps may be cheaper than traditional one-on-one psychotherapy; however, the practice may be less effective and is not likely to be covered by insurance.

Is online therapy a good option?

Therapy conducted online can be just as effective as in-person therapy, as long as there is a strong alliance between the client and the therapist. To find a therapist who provides telehealth services to clients in your area, click “Online Therapy” on the directory homepage and search by your city or town or your postcode.

Are therapy sessions confidential?

Therapists who are part of a professional organisation such as the BACP, the UKCP, or BPS are bound by an ethical framework that requires them to uphold a confidentiality agreement. Confidentiality is a crucial part of the therapeutic relationship and only under specific circumstances, such as when there has been participation in a criminal act or act of terror, or if there is potential or known harm to the client or others, will a therapist be obligated to break the agreement. These exceptions to the confidentiality agreement are usually discussed during the initial consultation.
